We so enjoyed our stay at this lovely and comfortable apartment. Best thing was the prime location. Just open the window for a peak at the Pantheon, many incredible restaurants, coffee shops and even a grocery store within a minutes walking distance. Also, spectacular churches close by, Piazza Navona and Campo d' Fiore just a few minutes away. The Vatican, St. Peter's, The Colosseum and the Forum all about a 30 minute walk from the apartment through this beautiful city.
The apartment itself was comfortable with all we needed to settle in. Luca provides breads, cereals, coffe and tea, and that ever elusive milk we all need on our first morning anywhere! Also an array of beverages for relaxing and enjoying after a long day of sightseeing. Luca also has great suggestions for restaurants in the area.
Thank you Luca for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back in the future!
My husband and I stayed at La DolceVita II Feb 21-March 3. It is a lovely, good sized apartment that was nicely decorated , comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Rome.
The kitchen has all the appliances, utensils, pots, and pans you need to cook meals. There is a small refrigerator and it even has a dishwasher! We found it convenient to have breakfast on the apt but the area is full of wonderful restaurants. We enjoyed a few meals right on the Piazza where the apt is located.
Luca was a wonderful host greeting us at the apt on our arrival. He arranged for a driver, Alessandro, to pick us up at the airport. Alessandro is a very nice, friendly man who pointed out various sights along our route and engaged us in good conversation about Rome, and Italy in general. The rides from and to the airport were very enjoyable!
Luca also came to the apartment on the day of our departure to see us off. He is a very nice, easy going guy and we like him very much.
We enjoyed our 11 day Italy trip. We did go to Orvieto for two nights in the middle of our stay. Much, much quieter there. We returned for our last couple of days in Rome and felt we had returned home!
For great entertainment I suggest sitting at a table in the Piazza at the Pantheon (or Piazza Navona) enjoying a bottle of wine, or drink of choice, something to nibble on, and just listening and people watching. We spent a few evenings doing just that and it was a short leisurely stroll back home at the end of the evening.
The only things that were a little bit of a drawback was the very small shower and the lack of an ironing board, but we managed very well and ultimately had a very comfortable stay !
I would recommend this apt for its great location, decor, comfort, Luca, and Allessandro.
Thank you Luca for your hospitality. If we return to Rome for a fourth time we will be in touch!

Hello to All!!! Perfect Location!!!!
This is the most perfect location to see Rome. My Wife, 4-month old baby and myself stayed in January at Luca house. We could walk anywhere within 15 minutes (Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Step, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St Peter’s Basilica and many more). So many place to eat or shop. Minutes outside your front doors hundreds of Restaurants and shops within 5 minutes. I promise you there is no better location to stay. The money we save on not needing to take taxi. FYI I got into it with few taxi drivers because they would try not to use their meters. Very frustrated! If this is your first time in Rome I would google about taxi drivers. But if you stay at this house you should not need any Taxi drivers. We took them few times to eat at all gluten free restaurants and to and from train station.
I have Celiac Disease and cannot eat any Gluten. The owner (Luca) went out of his way to find gluten free stores and restaurants. My wife and I was in Europe for 60 days and right before I was to leave Spain for Rome I got really sick. We had to cancel my stay for few days. I contact Luca and he cancel the car that was going to pick us up at the airport. Then I reschedule our flights and email Luca so he re-schedule our car to pick us up at the airport. Whole process was very smooth and it made it easy to get to the house and back to the airport. One less thing for me to worry about. We also had to request a bigger vehicle because we had so much luggage and baby car seat. Luca also took care of that for us.
Luca meant us at the house and walk us through the apartment. I was impressed with all the locks and doors. No concerns about my family safety. The house was clean and had everything we needed to cook our own breakfast before we left for the day. The water was hot and clean bathroom. Luca also set up a baby crib for us before I got there. He was going to come and see us off at 5:30am. I ask him not to..lol
If you do choose to stay at this house and for any reason you need something there is no doubt Luca will handle any issues ASAP! The main reason I decide to stay at this location because of all the positive reviews. I find myself feeling the same way. Hope your family enjoys Rome as my wife and I did…
Luca thanks for letting us stay at this perfect location and nice apartments
You will not be disappointed! Great location. Lot of restaurants close by. We walked everywhere, Vatican City, Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps... The apartment is very spacious-much better than a hotel room. Plenty of room for my family of four. Luca is great. He was extremely helpful. He had someone pick us up at the airport and he was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived. The apartment is stocked with snacks, drinks, plenty of towels, soap, and a washer. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you, Luca!
We had a wonderful stay at this charming apartment in the heart of Rome! Luca was a fantastic host from the very first message to our personal sendoff. The apartment is within easy walking distance to everything that we wanted to visit. We walked to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the Vatican, Campo dei Fiori, the Coliseum and Trastevere. The apartment is on the first floor, so that is very convenient with luggage. We also used the car service that Luca arranged for transfers from the airport. The drivers were on time, easy to find and very helpful. I recommend using this place as an awesome central basecamp for your adventures in Rome.
You honestly won't be able to find a better located apartment in all of Rome. You are literally in the heart of the city and can walk almost anywhere in 10 mins or less. For longer distances, major bus stops are right around the corner.
Luca was easy to work with, set up drivers for our arrival and departure, and was there to greet us and send us off. The apartment was charming, well decorated, and clean. We were able to save some money by purchasing breakfast and lunch materials at the nearby supermarket.
Overall great experience and would recommend this apartment to anyone.
