Quiet Location and Secure Parking
We appreciated several features of this home, especially the attached garage and its peaceful, quiet location. Communication with the owner was excellent; they offered early check-in and a late checkout, which, while we didn’t use, was a thoughtful gesture.That said, there were a few things future guests may want to know. Upon arrival, the home had a strong odor—a mix of wet dog and mustiness. An air freshener sat on an air purifier in the living room. We eventually adjusted (classic nose blindness), but the smell returned each time we were away and returned. Though the home appeared clean, a water ring in the toilet suggested it may not have been freshly cleaned.The living room sofa is a hide-a-bed and not comfortable for lounging. The garage, while attached, doesn’t have direct access to the home. In the primary bedroom, a metal wall art piece serves as a faux headboard—it clattered anytime a pillow touched it. The room also got quite warm at night, even with a fan and the door open during the day, which affected our sleep.We didn’t use the hot tub or patio. While some elements impacted our comfort, the value and location were strong points overall.
