Property was very comfortable and in a great position
We had a great holiday in Prague and found the accommodation to be ideal for our needs. It was very clean, comfortable and homely with all of our needs met. Clare couldn’t have been more accommodating
This property should be in the top ten places to stay in Prague!
Location, location, location. This apartment is right at the end of the Charles Bridge leading into Old Town. We were steps from everything we wanted to do, yet it was a quiet little street with interesting shops and eateries that made it feel like a neighborhood.
I can't say enough about what a delight it was to stay in Clare's apartment. We were greeted by Clare upon arrival and given a full tour of the apartment which included a detailed summary of places to eat in the immediate area and approximate walking distance from the apartment. Clare once lived in this flat so she knows the area well and recommended great places she loved which were all first rate. Two wonderful bedrooms, a newly renovated bathroom, a very comfortable living room, a kitchen that had everything you needed to cook if you wanted to....we loved the sweet bakery and coffee shop next door so did not do any cooking, and a killer view of the Charles Bridge! Clare was kind to get us started our first morning with cream and orange juice so we didn't have to go right out shopping; a plate of chocolates and champagne were also there to welcome us. The only note I'd make that was mentioned in earlier reviews is you need to be able to climb steps. There isn't an elevator so if you have mobility issues this may be a challenge. The good news is that the steps are not steep and the climb is easy, plus Clare's husband helped us get our bags up to the apartment and then back down when we left. I'm not saying this will happen every time you rent this apartment, but these folks went out of their way to help make our stay the most wonderful part of our whole trip. We highly recommend this property! Thank you, Clare.
Clare was a perfect host, very detailed and helpful with excellent tips on how best to enjoy Prague. The apartment has one of the loveliest views I've ever experienced. The apartment is rather spacious...two bedrooms and two smallish living rooms, plus a modern and updated bathroom and kitchen. Bedrooms are angled because of the roof so a bit tight but the atmosphere and location is unequaled. Highly recommended.
Great position with view of Charles Bridge.
Excellent. Clare was an awesome hostess organizing taxis and rides to various destinations in the City. She was on hand to meet and farewell us. Her husband carried our luggage down the stairs which was appreciated. The 2 bedroom apartment was immaculate with lots of personal touches. The three sets of stairs were a challenge but to be expected in buildings of this era and position. Again WONDERFUL🤩
Perfect location, great views and an historic property with all the facilities a visitor would need.
The apartment is at the top of a 16th century building with superb views of Charles Bridge (some 100 metres away) particularly at sunset and dawn. We could not fault the facilities and layout in the apartment as everything was perfect for our needs. The building architecture is also worth closer appraisal. Ask Clare for the history and current layout (and how she came to own the property!) Despite its central location we were never disturbed by street noise at night. There is a bakery a few yards from the apartment if you do not wish to go out and eat breakfast. There is also a mini supermarket five minutes walk if you need late night top ups.
Clare is an excellent host providing a wealth of written information on Prague - sights, eating, how to get about etc and on meeting her she gives even more insight on how to spend your time in Prague. The apartment is in an ideal location for walks into either the Old Town, New Town and the walk up to the Castle and on to Strahov Monastery for lunch on the terrace. There are many restaurants within minutes to 15 minutes easy walking so you can find good eating around the squares or overlooking the canal/river or pop over the bridge (actually take your time on the bridge in the evening for some very good musical entertainment from individuals and groups - it is different.). One caution - check with restaurants whether they take credit cards as it varies with either yes, no or yes but service charge is cash. The cash only notice is often discreetly displayed or hidden in the menu.
Clare is also right to point out that with some sixty steps from street to apartment this would not suit those wit mobility problems and nor is it suitable for young children.
Perfect apartment for a Prague stay
This apartment has the prefect location just over the Charles Bridge, walkable to everywhere. Apt is in beautiful building and has everything you need. Every morning when I woke up, I loved looking out the window at the Charles Bridge. Clare is a great host, helpful with any sort of question you may have. Can't think of anything that could make this a better place to stay.
