Beautiful house with ocean view

We had a wonderful time in Caroline 's house. She is a very nice and helpful host. We very much enjoyed the garden and the view to the ocean. Near to the house, there was a bus station so we could visit Victoria very easily. All in all, we loved our stay in this house.

This was a perfect place to stay as a home base for a family visit and access to various areas in and around Victoria. Caroline was so kind and responsive. The view is incredible. We couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home in lovely setting. We felt like we were staying in a good friends home, unlike the sterile minimalist settings you get in some vacation rentals. The master suite is spectacular and perfect for lounging with a spacious deck. The kitchen was very well equipped and the induction hot plate and airfryer/toaster oven were fine for our needs. Caroline provided us with more treats than we could enjoy and was a wonderful host. We didn't get to use the hot tub but it was at perfect temperature and ready to go. We also appreciated that we could bring our two small dogs along. We hope to return in summer months next year to see the amazing garden in full bloom.

One of the best VRBO rentals we have stayed in. The house, yard and views are beautiful. The house is spotlessly clean, spacious and very well stocked with everything you need- truly feels like a home away from home. Spacious well furnished with a gorgeous view we wished we could have stayed longer than 3 nights. The peace and quiet of the location belie the fact that the main centre of the city of Victoria was a very short drive away. Close to supermarkets, top attractions like Buchart Gardens and many restaurants the house was like home with a well stocked kitchen, fluffy bathrobes and towels and the A frame gave beautiful views of Portage Inlet. Caroline’s well tended garden framed every picture! A truly unique and outstanding property!

Probably the most beautiful rental we've ever stayed in, and the most accommodating host, as well. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. The structure itself is stunning, and the decor is absolutely charming. The location is near Victoria proper without feeling "big city."

Beautiful Home!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The views from both levels of the Gorge are amazing. The home was very clean and well looked after, very spacious and there is lots of natural light due to the large windows at the back of the house on both levels. Nice back yard.

Best place I’ve ever stayed!

Pictures don’t do this justice. This house is fantastic! The views of the inlet are amazing. The windows are huge and you can see water from basically the whole house. The smaller bedroom is still quite large and comfortable. Our toddler slept on a cot on the floor in there and we were still able to walk around him. The upstairs room is enormous. Both bathrooms were very nice. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The sheets, towels, robes, were all very soft and cozy. This really is the best place we’ve ever stayed. I can’t think of a single thing I’d change.

The views from this property are exceptional. The property itself is huge and resourced with everything you could possibly need. Really enjoyed our stay here. Caroline is an excellent host and you can tell she cares about her guests. The place was very well equipped. Beautiful views. Should note there is a bit of noise from the nearby highway when outside, but really did not bother us. Very happy overall with the stay!

One Of The Best

We've stayed in many vacation rentals and this one was one of our favorites. The house is perfect as was the location. We had plans to head up to Nanaimo on our last day, but opted to stick around and enjoy the peaceful view instead. We did run over to Floyds Diner in Langford (wonderful) and walked around Hatley Castle (The X-Mansion) before relaxing at home. Tub upstairs was fantastic and my husband enjoyed the hot tub. Got lucky with the weather too. Taste of Victoria was a treat. This house really is in the perfect location. Would be thrilled to come back.

We loved our stay. There was a brief problem with the plumbing but the owner had it addressed by the next morning. Absolutely lovely location. Would definitely recommend.

Unusual for pets

This property is much nicer than most rentals that allow pets. I want to direct this review at pet owners so they know what to expect. This property is pristine. The outside and inside are both beautiful, and full of items that don’t really want to be in contact with dogs. There are breakable items inside and a perfect cosmetic gardens outside. Things you should know which aren’t stated in the listing: -Dogs are not allowed to run in the back garden. It’s meant to be aesthetic, and enjoyed by humans. Potty needs to be on leash and out by the street. -Dogs are not allowed on furniture. -Dogs must be crated at night and if left alone in the house. -there is a cat that roams the property at times and can be spotted through the living room windows. -Portage Inlet Linear Park is at the end of the street for a nice short walk, and Cuthbert Holmes Park is a great place to walk dogs, just a little further away. My dog is mellow and I trust him 100% in a beautiful home. He doesn’t chew on inappropriate things, mark inside, or run wild. We did just fine in this home. But if you don’t trust your dog 100%
 this might be a tricky one to navigate. I believe the owner would appreciate the most well-behaved pups. The owner was a gracious host who was friendly and easy to work with. If you treat her well I believe she’ll treat you well. I’m grateful she allowed is to bring our dog.

Victoria conference/vacation

Beautiful property with a beautiful garden and wonderful views of the water. The home is clean, quiet and comfortable with everything necessary for our stay. The location is about 20 minutes from downtown so close enough to activities and restaurants with the benefit of being removed from the noise and crowds when we wanted to be. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed with a stay at this property.

We have transformed it into a delightful garden with an amazing new home designed and built by my son Trevor. You will find the setting peaceful and relaxing with access to all amenities within minutes. We welcome pets with sleeping kennels and responsible owners.
