We had the pleasure of actually meeting our host, Darlene. She was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Cedar Lodge was just what we were looking for for a 4-night stay. We saw a beautiful sunset and a beautiful sunrise and enjoyed the view of Seneca Lake from the lodge when it was too cold for us to hang out on the dock. The location was perfect for day trips to area wineries, Watkins Glen State Park, and other local attractions.

We absolutely loved this place! It was very quaint, super clean, cozy and oh so very comfortable. We couldn’t wait to come back after a day of sightseeing to sit on the porch with a glass of wine and look out over the lake, watching the seagulls swirl overhead. Our biggest regret was having to leave this little slice of heaven.

This has been our favorite property we have ever stayed at. The cottage reminds me of of my childhood spent at a lake in Quebec, Canada! It was so clean, quaint and perfect. We will definitley visit again!

Relaxing Retreat at Cedar Lodge

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Cedar Lodge. Darleen has everything you need for a home away from home feel. The lodge is situated close to many wineries and restaurants. We enjoyed some hiking and the rail riders tour. But most of all we enjoyed the peacefulness of the lake. Such a great spot to get some much needed relaxation. Thanks again!!

Ultra charming, immaculately clean (inside and out) little cottage. Great location, nestled in a very quite little private community. 3 to 6 steps from the lake, depending on stride length. Less than 10 minutes to Geneva. Less than 20 to Penn Yan. Bicycling, berry picking, ice cream, vineyards all close by - if you can stop staring at the lake, put down your (adult) beverage, and drag yourself out of the deck chair

Best Kept Secret at the Finger Lakes

If you are looking for a quaint cottage with the best view of the lake and your own private dock with no steep steps this booking is for you. We enjoyed the private pebble beach and spent most of our time on the porch watching the waterfowl and boats passing by. The listed description of Cedar Lodge is exactly what you will find when you arrive. It is very cozy and has everything you need while you are visiting. My husband and I found It to be a great place to get away unwind and enjoy the beautiful lake and gorgeous sunrises. There are many wineries, distilleries and quaint towns nearby to explore. We enjoyed going to Corning, New York to the glass and art museums. Darlene was a great host and was responsive to any questions we had prior to and during our stay. We loved the Lodge so much that we are planning to return next year. Darlene thanks for sharing your Cedar Lodge with us!

Beautiful and quiet

We visited during the peak of the Autumn season. Our stay was very quiet and tranquil. A newly installed dock was awaiting us, and we enjoyed drinking coffee and watching the sunrises at the waters edge from the dock. The house had many amenities to make the trip more comfortable, including a full kitchen, stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. The back porch also offered a comfortable spot to sit and eat meals while enjoying the lakeside. The water can be viewed from the living room windows, as the lake is less than 20 paces away from the back porch. You have private lake access with a short beach and a dock exclusive to this property. The water depth is gradual and flat and reaches about 6 feet deep at the end of the dock. The house had one private bedroom with a queen bed, a second queen bed is in the main living space, and a loft with beds is also available. The loft can only be accessed by ladder and is more appropriate for children. The home could comfortably sleep a family of 4-6. Everything was kept clean and nicely decorated. There is off street parking for 2 cars. The town of Geneva is relatively close and has plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping available. Many of the best waterfalls and gorges are within a 45 minute ride and I highly recommend seeing both R. Treman and Watkins Glen state parks, as well as many others. Dozens of wineries are found starting just a few minutes from the home. The road to the cottage is private with just a few dozen houses and road traffic is very minimal. There are very many positives to this rental and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if we ever traveled this way again. It was one of the nicest vacations we’ve taken in many years. The owner was pleasant to work with and responded to emails quickly. The only drawback to the rental is that the bathroom is rather small and could be problematic for someone with mobility issues or if shared by larger families. It’s a small consideration, though the positives far outweigh this drawback. Highly recommended!

What a great peaceful location right on Seneca Lake! The cottage was adorable and Darlene supplied so many essentials that made the stay very comfortable. She was readily available if we had any questions. The location was awesome, near great winery and restaurants. We look forward to a return visit next fall!

This quaint cottage sits on the shore of Seneca Lake on a private road in a lovely neighborhood. It was just right for the two of us. Darlene has provided everything you might need for your stay. We nearly lived on the lovely porch watching boats and birds go by!

Cozy cabin in a great location!!!

Lakeside retreat for Musselman Triathlon

This cozy cabin was wonderful! Very clean with a lot of thoughtful little touches throughout. Morning coffee on the porch watching the beautiful sunrise was our favorite part of our day! Darlene was friendly and easily contacted if needed. We wish we could have stayed longer! Driving in and out was a breeze and it’s a short flat walk from car to cabin. We will definitely stay here again and bring our kayaks next time!

This property has been owned by one family and I am the 3rd generation to own it. My grandfather cleared the land and built it in 1945. He picked each field stone that makes up the beautiful fireplace. This cottage is one of the last original cottages at Kashong Point. It is a quiet and relaxing location. The beach and front porch are the best places to relax with a book and/or a beverage. I live a 1/2 mile away so any questions or issues can be dealt with quickly.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Once you've picked up your groceries in Geneva from Wegman's there is no reason to leave unless you want to go and visit a winery, brewery or State Park. There is a gas station near by with a small grocery store for missed items.

Kashong Point has a private road which loops around and is a great place to walk, run or bike on. As you can tell by the pictures the land is very level and there are only a few steps to get in and out of the cottage. The There are 30+ pieces of property that make up Kashong Point. Kashong Creek borders one side of the Point and is a great place to hike to 3 picturesque waterfalls. There is a nature preserve near as well for some great walks.
