Enjoyed my stay at this house. Living room furniture is comfortable. Large dining table for 4 people to dine together. Nice backyard with grass, and outdoor table and chairs. Convenient parking in driveway.

Christmas in Old Colorado City

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was not only clean and ready to go, but was beautifully decorated for Christmas with tree and many very nice touches. It was like having Christmas in our own home. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to our family and friends. Thank you Carol.

Beautiful location. Worked perfectly for getting the family together with its location. My Dog enjoyed the lovely yard. Tall people beware doorways are to duck not walk thru. Little issues with Older homes. Comfortable Stay in a quiet neighborhood.

Friendly hosts and great location!

We stayed here for per a month and really enjoyed the amenities and proximity to all Colorado Springs has to offer. Want to hike, it's minute away. Go to the City for dinner, minutes away. Eat/Shop enjoy Old Colorado City, just walk. Manituo Springs, just a few minutes away and Garden of the Gods is even closer. Hiking extremely close and bike route and trails are just outside the door. Carol was extremely responsive to all of our needs and so very friendly!

OCC Visit

The location is wonderful for visiting OCC, Garden of the Gods, Manitou, and Pikes Peak area. Back yard delightful, we enjoyed sitting out there morning and evening. Very quiet neighborhood, friendly people. Inside of home is nice for the age of the house. The carpets are dated and worn. There are some interesting slopes and little bumps in the floor, need to watch one in bedroom when walking. Furniture is comfortable and serviceable. Towels are old and brown not an appealing color. Bedding could be updated also. We were without hot water for 24 hours when we first arrived. The water heater had quit working. Owners got it repaced as quickly as they could. Had hot water by by second full day of stay. We were disappointed to not be offered some refund or compensartion for the water issue. Showers were quick and chilly. Had to save dishes to wash as there is no dishwasher. Overall, the location and backyard made our stay enjoyable, but for the price I honestly expected more from the inside of the home.

Great Location & Perfect Fit

Older home just off the main st of olde Colo City...small but great for our needs. Quiet neighborhood; walked to olde Colo City...small city park next to elementary school half a block away. Perfect location and easy access to all the Springs and surrounding areas. Also great traveling with our dogs...fenced in back yard with dog toys waiting. Only minutes from the trails of Red Rock Open space, Garden of the Gods, and Stratmoot Open space. Property owner was very accommodating and made our vacation stay easy. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Location and Comfort for a Home Away From Home

Cozy comfortable bungalow on a quiet street a short walk to the center of Old Colorado City. Carol & Ref are wonderful hosts, very responsive and incredibly welcoming and at the same time very respectful of your privacy while on their property. The bungalow with fenced in yard provided us with the perfect setting for our dog, hosting our kids and grandkids for barbecues, overnight visits with the little ones and a perfect jumping off point for local sightseeing. The neighborhood is a great starting point for longer walks on several of the bike trails winding around and through Colorado Springs. We’re already looking forward to returning next year!

Trip to Colorado: My Husband & I went to visit our son who is stationed at Fort Carson in the Army.

The property was easy to find and had several great restaurants and places to visit nearby. Carol was very helpful with the process of check-in - we arrived about 1/2 hour earlier than expected and she allowed us to enter the house. The house was very clean and felt like home. The house was big enough for us to share and have a few family dinners. My Son was able to stay with us during the weekend. We were able to visit Old Colorado City that was within walking distant and near downtown Colorado Springs.

Great Location

A sweet house, great kitchen and in a very good location. I would suggest that a few updates need to be made. Until then, It is not the best place for an elderly person with balance issues.

Excellent neighborhood

We had a great experience at this property. We had everything we needed and everything was very clean. Nice backyard and patio. Our dog did get out of the fence a couple times but that is because he is only 6 lbs and pretty small, so that is not the fault of the owner. We loved the neighborhood and how close it was to everything. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a different property!

This is a charming little cottage that we have stayed in several times during past winters. Because of a last minute change, we stayed in the owners' property on So. Cascade Ave. The ratings I've given above apply to that property which is brand new and a larger home. It was perfect! Thank you!

Great house to stay. Easy to get to attractions in and around Colorado Springs, Co. Good value.

Our family choose Colorado Springs, Co for our winter trip. We were fortunate to locate this property. The owner was proactive in communicating and making sure our stay was memorable. The backyard has two rock patios, gravel and turf ares. The fences were secure for a family tag-a-long dog. Inside the house has original wood floors and updated tile in the bathroom and kitchen areas. The house was well blended in nostalgia and modern amenities. Snag this property if it is available for your trip. You wont be disappointed.

Adorable & Perfect Location

We stayed here to attend our USAFA son's football games. This home was perfect for us. After the football games, our son & his football buddy would spend the night & I would make breakfast for them Sunday Morning. The boys really enjoyed having a taste of home! The little backyard was perfect for our furr baby. We had a nice snow one Sunday & my son & I had fun making a snowman! Great neighborhood & very nice neighbors. The location was just perfect! Minutes to I-25, I-24 & Colorado Ave. w/ lots of shops, restaurants & things to do nearby. The owners were very attentive if we needed anything. We absolutely loved this charming home & felt right at home here.

Charming home & neighborhood , Perfect Location!

Great Location - Comfortable Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the little blue cottage. The location is ideal to explore both Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs City. Visiting AF Academy and it was an easy drive to get onto I-25. Well-equipped home and love the laundry, full kitchen and gas grill out on the patio! No dishwasher, but that's what kids are for! Great home away from home! (took off one star for tiny living room/tv and sloped floor in BR and laundry area).

Comfortable, clean and well located for sight seeing

Carol and Ref are the best vacation renters we have met. They saw to our every need. The house is cozy and comfortable with all sorts of amenities including a fenced in back yard for a dog. The house is on a pretty tree lined residential street and we were within easy reach of many sites and hiking trails. We definitely recommend this vacation rental.

Fun location!!

We loved staying in this cute house with lots of charm. Just moving to the area, we needed a temporary place to live and this house was it!! We were within walking distance of Old Colorado City Downtown and short drives to Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. Plenty of places to eat and the area was very friendly. The host Carol makes herself readily available if anything is needed. The house is completely stocked. She has even put together an information binder of the area with coupons to local restaurants. The neighborhood is friendly and is walking distance to downtown.

Very comfortable and inviting!

We stayed for 5 nights, and had everything we could have needed! Fully stocked kitchen which made it easy to cook meals. We loved having the washer and dryer, and everything was clean!!!! All the comforts of home! Thanks, and we’ll be contacting you for our next visit!!!
