Welcome to The Crooked Paddle! We`re delighted you`ve chosen our unique floating home on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. These rules are intended to help ensure a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable experience for you while protecting this special property for future guests.
Check-In & Check-Out
Check-In: 4:00 PM
Check-Out: 10:00 AM
Please observe these times so our housekeeping team can properly prepare the home for the next guests.
Late departures may result in additional fees unless approved in advance.
Maximum Occupancy
Maximum occupancy is limited to the number listed on your reservation.
No unregistered overnight guests are permitted.
Quiet Hours
Quiet Hours are:
10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
Please be respectful of neighboring float homes. Sound travels easily across the water.
No loud music, shouting, or disruptive behavior.
No Parties or Events

Absolutely NO parties, events, weddings, receptions, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or large gatherings are permitted
Violation of this rule may result in immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
Smoking
This is a 100% smoke-free property.
Smoking, vaping, marijuana, cigars, and e-cigarettes are prohibited:
Inside the float home
On decks
On the dock
Evidence of smoking may result in additional cleaning or damage fees.
No Pets are allowed. There will be a $250 fee for bringing an unregistered pet on the property
Water Safety
This property is located directly over the water.
Please use extreme caution.
Children must always be supervised.
Never leave children unattended on docks or decks.
Life jackets are strongly recommended whenever near the water.
Diving from the float home or dock is prohibited.
Be aware that docks and walkways may become slippery when wet.
Boats & Watercraft: This property DOES NOT come with a place to park a boat. You can pick up and drop off. If you want to rent a boat slip, call Scenic Bay Marina
Follow all marina rules.
Observe no-wake zones.
Fire Safety
For everyone`s safety:
No fireworks.
No open flames.
No candles.
No fire pits.
No charcoal grills unless specifically provided.
Emergency equipment is located inside the home. Please familiarize yourself with its location upon arrival.
Clean cooking surfaces after each use.
Kitchen
Please enjoy the fully equipped kitchen.
Garbage
Please place all garbage in the designated containers. Remove from the house and put all garbage in dumpsters outside the marina gate
Do not leave trash outside where wildlife may access it.
