Royal Ranchita | Private Hill Country Micro-Resort Near Salado

We’re Katie and Will, a husband-and-wife team who started our family in Alpine, Texas, where we founded K&W Ranchita. Our 22-acre farm stay there is more than just a property to us — it’s where we’ve raised our kids, said goodbye to our favorite dog, and built a place that will always feel like home.

Now we’re excited to expand our vision at Royal Ranchita outside Salado, Texas. Our hope is to create something truly special: a micro-resort designed for meaningful family getaways, reunions, and celebrations, including weddings and receptions.

Our own wedding took place at a short-term rental during COVID, and the kindness and flexibility we experienced meant a lot to us. Royal Ranchita is our way of paying that forward by creating a place where other families can gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories of their own.

Check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available by request but aren’t guaranteed; unauthorized late departures may result in extra fees.

Maximum occupancy is limited to the guests on the reservation. No unregistered overnight guests without approval. Events, parties, weddings, or large gatherings require written approval.

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM–8:00 AM. Please respect neighboring properties and nearby wedding venues. Excessive noise, amplified music, or disruptive behavior may result in immediate termination without refund.

Hot tub/cold plunge use is at your own risk. Children must be supervised. No glass containers. Rinse off before entering. Do not use if intoxicated. Replace covers after use.

Use the garage and outdoor areas responsibly. No smoking inside the garage or home. Return games and equipment to their proper place and do not move furniture indoors/outdoors.

No fireworks. Outdoor fires are only allowed in designated fire pits when local restrictions permit. Never leave fires unattended and fully extinguish all fires.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval and must be disclosed at booking. Please clean up after pets and keep them off furniture and beds. Smoking/vaping is not allowed inside any enclosed structure.

Lock doors and windows when leaving. Do not tamper with security devices or property infrastructure. Report maintenance issues promptly. Guests are responsible for their own safety and any damage caused during their stay. Royal Ranchita and KWR Management are not responsible for accidents, injuries, illness, theft, or loss of property.

Check-In & Check-Out

Occupancy

Please be respectful of neighboring properties and wedding events at nearby venues.

Hot Tub & Cold Plunge

Use at your own risk.

Children must be supervised at all times.

No glass containers in or around the hot tub or cold plunge.

Shower or rinse off before entering the water.

Do not use if intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

Replace covers after use.

Seasonal Creek & Property Grounds

The creek may contain slippery rocks, uneven terrain, wildlife, insects, and natural hazards.

Guests assume all responsibility when exploring the property.

Children must be supervised at all times.

Do not remove rocks, plants, or wildlife from the property.

Party Garage & Outdoor Areas

Enjoy the entertainment spaces responsibly.

No smoking inside the garage or home.

Return games and equipment to their designated locations after use.

Do not move furniture between indoor and outdoor areas.

Fire Safety

No fireworks permitted anywhere on the property.

Outdoor fires are only allowed in designated fire pits when local burn restrictions allow.

Never leave fires unattended.

Fully extinguish all fires before leaving the area.

Pets

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with prior approval.

Pets must be disclosed at booking.

Owners must clean up after pets.

Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds unless protective coverings are used.

Excessive pet damage or cleaning may result in additional charges.

Smoking Policy

No smoking or vaping inside the home, garage, or any enclosed structure.

Smoking is permitted outdoors only.

Properly dispose of cigarette butts and tobacco products.

Weddings & Event Guests

Royal Ranchita is located directly across from Caliber Oak Wedding Venue and is an ideal lodging option for wedding parties and guests.

Hosting weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, or other events on the property requires prior approval and may require a separate event agreement.

Golf Cart Rentals Available
Make getting around even easier with golf cart rentals available through Salado Golf Cart Rentals. Rentals require all drivers to be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and current motor vehicle liability insurance. Minimum rental periods apply, and reservations are confirmed in advance once all required documents are submitted and the signed rental agreement is returned. Payment is due at pickup or delivery, and no deposit is required.
For rentals within Salado Village limits, pickup is at the median in the Ace Hardware / Brookshire Brothers parking lot. For use at Royal Ranchita or The Chapel at Caliber Oak, a delivery fee will apply.

Security & Safety

This is an 8-acre rural property. You may encounter deer, rabbits, snakes, insects, and other native Texas wildlife.

Damage & Liability

Guests are responsible for damages caused during their stay.

Accidents happen—please notify us immediately so we can address issues quickly.

Royal Ranchita and KWR Management are not responsible for accidents, injuries, illnesses, theft, or loss of personal property.
