Hi! We're the Kearney family, and we're so glad you're here.

I was born and raised just 20 minutes away in Sedalia. Back then, Castle Rock was a much smaller town, and we often headed to Littleton for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Over the past 15 years, though, Castle Rock has grown into the vibrant community it is today while still holding onto its historic charm and small-town feel.

We purchased this property in 2018, and where the guesthouse now stands was once nothing more than a mound of dirt and weeds. Building a garage with living quarters had always been a dream of ours, and we're so grateful to finally see that dream come to life. It's been a labor of love, and we couldn't be more excited to share this little corner of Colorado with you.

We love opening our property to guests and creating a space where people can relax, reconnect, and enjoy all that Colorado has to offer.

While we live on the property, your guesthouse is completely private. If you need anything, we're just a message away. Otherwise, we'll give you plenty of space to enjoy your stay. Think of us as friendly neighbors—close by if you need us, but respectful of your privacy.

We fell in love with this neighborhood because it has something that's becoming harder to find—genuine small-town charm. Historic downtown Castle Rock is full of locally owned coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, breweries, parks, and community events, all within walking distance.

We love that you can park your car, explore on foot, hear the train roll through town, spend an evening at Festival Park, and experience the welcoming feel of a close-knit community. It truly captures the best of Colorado—beautiful scenery, friendly people, and a relaxed pace of life.

The Cantril Cottage offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful, private retreat just steps from the heart of historic downtown Castle Rock. Unlike many vacation rentals, you can walk to coffee, restaurants, breweries, shopping, parks, and year-round events, then return to a quiet guesthouse with a private entrance, driveway parking, a patio with Pikes Peak views, and thoughtfully designed spaces.
