Welcome to The Hidden Keyhole, you’ll enjoy a one-of-a-kind stay centered around a private keyhole-shaped pool with a diving board, open May 1 through October 1. This spacious multi-level home offers over 2,000 sqft of living space and comfortably sleeps 12+ guests, making it perfect for large groups, families, and gatherings. Inside, you’ll find multiple living areas, a fitness room with a treadmill, a piano for the music lovers, and a fully stocked kitchen with a gas stove and stainless steel appliances. The home is pet-friendly for up to two furry friends and is centrally located just 15 minutes from downtown Des Moines, West Des Moines, Waukee, and more.

Guests will enjoy full, private access to the entire home, including the fenced-in backyard, patios, and pool. To ensure the property is well-maintained, the garage and three designated owners’ closets remain locked and are not accessible to guests.`

We respect your privacy and will not enter the home during your stay without your express permission or request. However, we are fully committed to ensuring a seamless experience. Our team is available to assist with any questions or issues that may arise. Should you need anything resolved, please message us through the app for a prompt response.

Pool and safety

• Swim at your own risk, no lifeguard on duty
• Pool must be closed during thunderstorms, lightning, or unsafe weather conditions
• All children must be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times during pool use
• No eating or drinking in the pool
• No glass, ceramic, or foreign objects allowed in or near the pool
• Please use only appropriate pool safe items
• No diving except from the designated diving board area
• Use of the pool and backyard amenities is at your own risk
• Failure to follow pool rules may result in guests being held responsible for any damage
• By using the pool and outdoor amenities, guests acknowledge and accept all risks associated with their use

Pets
• Pet friendly for up to 2 pets
• Pet fee applies
• Pets must be crated when left unattended in the home
• No pets allowed in the pool at any time
• Pet waste must be cleaned up and disposed of properly
• Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage
• Please clean up after your pets inside and outside
• By bringing pets onto the property, guests acknowledge and accept all risks and responsibility associated with their care
Please follow these rules throughout your stay to ensure a safe and smooth experience. Violations may result in fines, additional fees, or immediate termination of your reservation.

Pool and Outdoor Amenities
Pool is open May 1 through October 1, weather permitting. Swim at your own risk, no lifeguard on duty. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Pool must not be used during thunderstorms, lightning, or unsafe weather. No glass, ceramic, or foreign objects in or near the pool. No eating or drinking in the pool. Only pool-safe items are allowed. No diving except from the designated diving board area. Use of the pool and backyard amenities is at your own risk. Failure to follow pool rules may result in guests being held responsible for damage, injury, or additional fees. By using the pool and outdoor amenities, guests acknowledge and accept all associated risks and liability.

Pets
Up to 2 pets allowed with a $100 per pet fee. Pets must be crated when left unattended. No pets allowed in the pool. Pet waste must be cleaned up and disposed of properly. Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage and indoor or outdoor cleanliness. By bringing pets onto the property, guests accept all responsibility and risks associated with their care.

Thermostat Use
A/C: Do not set the thermostat below 68°F. Setting it too low can cause the system to freeze. Damage from misuse will result in a fine. Heat: Do not set the thermostat above 78°F. Overheating the system may cause damage and will result in a fine if caused by improper use.

No Smoking or Open Flames
Strictly no smoking or vaping, including cigarettes, marijuana, dab pens, or hookah, anywhere inside the home or near entrances. No open flames inside the home. Any odor, residue, or evidence of smoking will result in a $1,000 fine and possible cancellation of the reservation.

Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please respect neighbors and avoid loud music, gatherings, or disturbances. Excessive noise may result in a $500 fine and removal from the property.

Early Check-In
One-hour early check-in may be available at no charge if the property is ready. Requests must be made in advance. Door codes will not work before 3:00 PM unless confirmed. Additional early check-in beyond one hour is $50 per hour, if available.

Late Check-Out
Late check-outs beyond 30 minutes without prior approval will incur a $50 per hour fee. This ensures our cleaning team stays on schedule for incoming guests.

Mail and Deliveries
No mail or package deliveries may be sent to this address. Please use a pickup locker or postal location.

Plumbing and Parking
Do not flush wipes, feminine products, or anything other than toilet paper. Parking is allowed in designated areas only. No parking on grass. Improper parking or damage to the property may result in a $100 fee.

Utilities and Outages
We are not responsible for city-wide or service-related outages of power, water, or internet. While we will assist when possible, refunds cannot be issued for outages outside our control.
