Architectural Retreat, 5 Min Walk to Beach

Originally conceived as a prefabricated architectural system by Mandalaki Studio and manufactured in Italy, Monocabin M is a 30m² design retreat in Rhodes. Just steps from the sea, it combines contemporary architecture, custom furnishings, a private plunge pool, and an original Halo light installation. A unique way to experience island living through simplicity, privacy, and thoughtful design.

Designed for two, Monocabin explores a more essential way of inhabiting space. Within its 30m² footprint, architecture, furniture, lighting, and materials have been carefully considered to create an environment that feels both compact and remarkably generous. Large openings blur the boundary between indoors and outdoors, allowing natural light and the rhythms of island life to become part of the experience.

The interior is organized as a bright and open living environment where every element serves a purpose. Custom designed furniture by Mandalaki Studio contributes to a cohesive spatial identity, while a carefully selected palette of materials creates a calm and welcoming atmosphere. The retreat features a fully equipped kitchen with an induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, filtered drinking water system, and washing machine, making it equally suitable for short stays or longer escapes.

The bedroom is centered around a queen size bed and a complete range of COCO-MAT sleep products, crafted from natural materials to provide exceptional comfort and a restorative night's sleep. A dedicated TV corner, dressing area, air conditioning, WiFi connectivity, and a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower and bidet ensure that practicality and comfort are seamlessly integrated into the design.

Outside, the retreat unfolds into a completely private and enclosed outdoor living space. A shaded dining area equipped with an induction barbecue and minibar creates a place for open air meals and relaxed evenings. A plunge pool framed by Rhodian pebbles offers a refreshing place to cool off during the warm summer months, while sunbeds invite slower moments of rest throughout the day.

As daylight fades, the atmosphere changes. An original Halo light installation by Mandalaki Studio transforms the outdoor space, creating a distinctive experience after sunset and extending the architectural language of the retreat into the evening hours.

Monocabin is located within walking distance of Ialyssos Beach, restaurants, cafés, bakeries, pharmacies, and supermarkets, while Rhodes Town and Rhodes International Airport can both be reached in approximately fifteen minutes by car. Despite its convenient location, the retreat remains private and sheltered, offering a quiet setting from which to explore the island.
