Unique Granary Farmstead Near Cody & Yellowstone

Like I said, my husband was born and raised here, but his Cody roots go much deeper! His grandparents actually homesteaded this exact farm—literally clearing the sagebrush, hauling water from the river, and milking cows just to get by.The history here is so tangible. The homes you see next door are actually WWII buildings from the nearby Heart Mountain Japanese Relocation Center. After the war, they were sold off and converted into frontier homes for local families.For years, these twin granaries were collecting just about everything except grain! My father-in-law had the brilliant idea to convert them into living spaces, and my husband and I dove in headfirst to finish the job. Making everything so custom has definitely been a labor of love, but the result is entirely worth it. You truly get a one-of-a-kind piece of Wyoming history, packed with all the comforts of modern living. We absolutely love it here, and we hope you do too!

Think outside the box—literally! Because these historic granaries are circular, off-the-shelf building supplies don't exist. Everything from the curved roofs and custom headers to the doors and stairs had to be handmade, one single piece at a time.
