Brier's Holler is nestled between Great North Mountain and Anderson Ridge situated alongside of Waites Run in Wardensville, WV. Our homestead sits on 48 acres of beautiful private land bordering the George Washington National Forest. Come relax and unwind in our dog friendly retreat. Soak away stress in our hot tub under the stars. Explore the deep solitude of the woods and reconnect with nature. Or just dive into a good book next to the woodstove or on the covered patio listening to the babbling brook. 


Directly behind the house is Waites Run, a fully stocked trout stream perfect for  fishing, rock skimming, and wading. In warmer months immerse yourself in the fresh mountain stream fed swimming hole. In cooler months gather around the fire pit and just enjoy the serenity of the water flowing by as you enjoy coffee at our favorite streamside rock. 


 A rough cut trail runs up the mountain and along the ridge enticies you with breathtaking views of the Great North Mountain.  Moonrises are spectacular! Hikers delight in an approximately mile long path through wooded areas. Please note travelers will wade across the 1 foot deep stream to access the trail. Bring your own ATV to cruise at sightseeing speeds only and take in the unmatched views. Wildlife sightings include wild turkeys, white tail deer, pileated woodpeckers, and an occasional black bear!


Relax after your hike and sink into the seven person mountain view hot tub. Enjoy stargazing far away from city lights. Gather the family on the covered patio for outdoor family dining with gas grill and propane gas fire pit 10 feet from a babbling brook.

Indulge in our fully stocked coffee bar featuring a Keurig, French press and conventional coffee maker. Coffee and tea provided. 


Farm fresh organic eggs from our local ladies wait for you on arrival.


 For guests that choose to remain indoors,  the living room boasts a 65 inch Roku television with a Wi-Fi connection. Netflix, Disney +, HBO Max included. Cell phone reception excellent all the way up the mountain.


Warm up next to the wood stove and get cozy in our reading nook. Firewood is provided. 

Fully equipped laundry room available with washer and dryer. Detergent is provided. Iron and ironing board available. 


Located a mile and a half outside of the town of Wardensville.  Don't miss The Lost River Trading Post for local artisans, craft beers, gourmet coffees, and upscale dining, The Wardensville Garden Market for local organics and fresh baked goodies. Marina's Pizza and The Kac-a-Pon family restaurant deliver that small town charm for eat in family dinig options. Herrs grocery,  7-Eleven, and gas are also within town limits.  Three miles from Warden Lake with public parking and lake access. Located in George Washington National Forest.
