Tucked away in the peaceful Northwoods of Tomahawk, Wisconsin, this spacious retreat sits on five private acres along the Spirit River Flowage—offering the perfect blend of serenity, nature, and comfort.

This five-bedroom, five-bathroom home was recently purchased by our family in early April, and we are thoughtfully continuing to enhance and improve it. It’s a place in progress, growing with each update, while already providing a warm and welcoming experience for our guests.

Surrounded by towering trees, the gentle sounds of the river, and the calls of local birds, the property invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature. Wildlife sightings are part of everyday life—whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee on the porch or unwinding after a day on the water.

Designed with families and groups in mind, the home offers plenty of space to gather, relax, and make lasting memories, along with quiet corners for rest and reflection. With a full kitchen on each floor and a walk-out lower level that leads directly to the waterfront, the layout is ideal for spreading out while staying connected. Cozy bedding throughout ensures everyone has a comfortable place to recharge.

The circle driveway provides ample parking for boats, snowmobile, or UTV trailers, and nearby trail access makes it easy to head out for a day of adventure right from the property. It’s a perfect setting for multi-family vacations—offering space for everyone to enjoy both togetherness and privacy.

Winter at The Sanctuary is a snowmobiler’s paradise. Nestled in the heart of Wisconsin’s Northwoods near Tomahawk, Sanctuary offers direct access to one of the state's premier snowmobile trail systems, with more than 400 miles of beautifully groomed trails winding through scenic forests, across frozen lakes, and into welcoming Northwoods communities.

From the property, simply ride down the private ramp to the Spirit River to connect directly to the trail system—no trailering required. Spend the day exploring miles of pristine wilderness, stopping at popular trailside bars and restaurants, or venturing through Lincoln and Oneida Counties on an unforgettable ride.

After a day on the trails, return to the warmth and comfort of Sanctuary to relax, recharge, and get ready for another day of adventure. Whether you're planning a weekend escape with friends or an extended winter vacation, Sanctuary is the perfect home base for experiencing everything Wisconsin's Northwoods has to offer.
