The Space:

The calm waters of Drummer Cove await down a short, scenic path through the trees from this sweet cottage in Wellfleet. Full of the classic charms of a Cape Cod summer, this is a place for gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, days spent at the beach, and afternoons of dining on the patio in the fresh ocean air. This single-story cottage is part of the Drummer Cove Condo Association, a quiet community that sits right on the cove in South Wellfleet. It's a wonderful location for exploring, with the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (one mile), White Crest Beach (two miles), Marconi Beach (three miles), the town's famous drive-in (four miles), several kettle ponds, and a number of excellent restaurants and bars close by. Both bright and cozy, sunny and rustic, this cottage is a lovely blend of Cape Cod styles. Wake up each morning in a serene bedroom, fix yourself a cup of coffee in the well-equipped kitchen, and take a seat in the window-lined dining nook with a good book or newspaper for company. Whether you wander down to the cove or spend the day at the beach, you'll be greeted back at home by a patio, a picnic table, and chairs in the shade of mature trees. Back inside, cool off in window air conditioning, stream movies on the smart TV, and use the complimentary WiFi to make plans for tomorrow. Things to Know Streaming services are available with guests' own account credentials. There is no washer/dryer. The pictured hammock does not belong to this homeowner. Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. All guests shall abide byour good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

I would return to this property. Great communication, easy entrance. The location was perfect, near Wellfleet and minutes from Marconi Beach. Very clean, quiet area. It is NOT on the water (I think one picture showed the bay). You can see the marsh at the end of the road/driveway. Everything you need is within the tiny cabin. It is amazing how a small space can be fully equipped and laid out to maximize space. Old Cape charm. Nice that towels and linens were included. Shower needs some work but did not inhibit us in any way. Thank you!

This was by far the worst stay we’ve ever had from Vrbo. The place was beyond rustic, into the realm of antiquated. As soon as we walked in there was the usual moldy air smell that is found in older buildings on the Cape, accompanied by a distinct dead animal smell, which did not go away. The stove in the kitchen was older than my granny, and did not work. We found out later that it probably was shut off due to a leak. There are multiple exposed conduit wires running all throughout the structure which may not be up to code. In addition to that many lights in the house were blinking on and off, and the front porch light didn’t work. Both drains in the kitchen and bathroom were clogged. The shower walls were broken and poorly repaired. The one minuscule bedroom was over run with spiders. The picture showed a water access the bayside which was not accessible to this unit unless you trespassed through someone’s backyard. I could go on, but I think you get it. When we brought this to the attention of the owners, which was a third party(VueStay) the response was way too little and late to do anything about it. We complained, and left early, but did not receive a full refund. I will never stay with this company again. Our one trip for the year was ruined.
