Siena House is an authentic 18th-century Hydriot home located in one of the island’s quietest local neighborhoods, just a 5–10 minute walk from Hydra’s port. Fully renovated in 2026, the house accommodates up to 6 guests with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms while blending historic charm with modern comfort. Guests can enjoy a rooftop with beautiful island views, a courtyard for outdoor dining, and a shaded garden with a built-in sofa under a large tree.


The space
Fully renovated in 2026, the house has been carefully updated while preserving its authentic charm. Siena House can comfortably accommodate up to six guests with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, making it ideal for families, couples, or small groups of friends.

Guest access
The house is arranged over two levels and offers several inviting indoor and outdoor spaces designed for relaxing and enjoying island life.

At the entrance of the house, a courtyard/veranda provides a welcoming outdoor space that is perfect for outdoor meals or relaxing in the shade. From here, steps also lead up to the rooftop terrace, which offers beautiful panoramic views across the island and surrounding hills.

On the main level you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and an open living room with balcony access. This floor also includes a library and desk space, a bedroom with two single beds, and a full bathroom.

The lower level offers a quieter sleeping area with two bedrooms with double beds, a shared living space, and a full bathroom. From this level, guests have direct access to the garden, where a built-in sofa beneath a large tree creates a peaceful shaded area to relax.

Siena House is designed to offer a calm and comfortable setting to enjoy the unique charm and slower rhythm of life on Hydra.

Other things to note
Access to the house
As is typical of many traditional homes on Hydra, Siena House is accessed via steps from the main path and also includes stairs between the different levels of the house. For this reason, the property may not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility, strollers, or very young children.

Luggage transfer
As cars are not permitted on the island, luggage transport from the port can be arranged via donkey upon request. This service must be organized in advance and is payable directly on the day.

Housekeeping
Additional housekeeping during your stay can be arranged upon request for an additional fee.

Pets
Pets may be accepted upon prior request. Please inform us in advance, as an additional fee may apply.

House guidelines
Smoking is not permitted inside the house. In the event that keys are lost, a replacement fee may apply if the key or lock needs to be changed.

Safety & certifications
The house is equipped with fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, emergency exit signage, and a first aid kit. Pest control and electrical safety certifications are regularly maintained.
