The space
This is a Frank Lloyd Wright style 3-story, mid-century home built into a hillside. We live in the main house, so you will have all the privacy you desire but also immediate and friendly assistance if needed. We take impeccable care of our property and have created a guest space that is truly a peaceful and elegant retreat. Nothing about the apartment is second rate (no "leftover" furniture that we just tossed down in the space). Every furnishing and amenity was appointed with care. Quality matters to us, as does a sense of aesthetics. So many of the kitchens (for example) on listings for guest suites are dinky galley kitchens or kitchenettes with mismatched dishes/cutlery and second rate appliances, but the kitchen in our guest suite is the real deal. It offers ample (granite) counter space and cupboards with lighting, high quality appliances and Italian chef grade cookware, and a huge island with counter stools. It's gorgeous. The bedroom boasts a vintage wrought iron bed with bamboo modal sheets, German "alternative" goose down comforter, tempurpedic (and other) pillows and a superior quality mattress with 2-inch memory foam/gel infused mattress topper; custom darkening (not complete "blackout") curtains; a French linen divan; and a large custom cedar closet. The sofa and ottoman in the living room are custom made. The chairs at the glass-top table in the living room are bonded leather. The list goes on, but you get the idea.

The internet access is secure, fire-walled and 100Mbps.

Coffee making options include a Keurig Elite; French Press; and Pour-Over.

This space is priced for the quality it delivers. It's not a place to crash; it's a sanctuary. We have priced our rate competitively, and for the more discriminating guest. We don't seek a high volume of guests, but a select few who will appreciate and take care of it properly. We ask and expect our guests to observe a simple principle: "Leave It Better Than You Found It."
