Southern Delight -Family Retreat on Saline Creek minutes from Crater of Diamonds

Southern Delight is a spacious rural retreat located just minutes from Crater of Diamonds State Park and about 20 minutes from Lake Greeson. Designed for multi-generational gatherings, the home offers open living spaces, warm natural materials, and subtle musical touches woven throughout.

The main living area features vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and a striking stone fireplace that anchors the room. The open kitchen includes a large island, double ovens, and ample prep space, making it ideal for shared meals and family gatherings.

The home comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests.

Sleeping Arrangements:

Primary Suite
King bed with private en suite bathroom featuring double vanities and a jetted soaking tub.

Bedroom Two
Queen bed with access to a shared Jack and Jill bathroom.

Bedroom Three
Queen bed with access to the same Jack and Jill bathroom.

Bunk Loft
Open upstairs loft with two custom bunk beds. Each bunk includes a queen on the bottom and a full on top, plus an additional trundle. The loft also includes two arcade games and a cushioned kids gaming table.

Three full bathrooms are located on the main level, including two full shower and tub combinations.

Outdoor Space
Enjoy uninterrupted views of open pastureland from the large back deck, perfect for slow mornings and evening sunsets. The deck also overlooks Saline Creek below. Grill on the propane grill or gather around the wood burning fire pit in the evenings.

Firewood is not provided, but can be purchased locally in Murfreesboro.

Guests may access the creek below the deck if they choose. The path leading to the creek is steep, uneven, and may be unstable. Posted signage is in place. Guests assume all risks associated with accessing the creek area. Children must be supervised at all times outdoors.
The property includes natural terrain such as slopes, wooded areas, and uneven ground. Guests are responsible for their own safety and the supervision of children while using outdoor areas of the property.

The detached three car garage is not currently accessible to guests.

House Rules:

Maximum 12 guests
Primary renter must be 25 years or older
No parties or events
Quiet hours 10 PM to 7 AM
Up to 2 dogs allowed, $25 per pet per stay
No pets on beds or furniture
No smoking inside the home
Indoor fireplace is decorative and not available for guest use
Fire pit must be fully extinguished after use
Guests must check for any local or statewide burn bans before using the outdoor fire pit
Children must be supervised near creek and outdoor areas

The home is on a septic system. Only toilet paper may be flushed. Do not flush wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or any non-toilet paper items.

No grease, cooking oils, or food solids may be placed down the kitchen sink. Dispose of these items in the trash.

Rental agreement required within 24 hours of booking.

Other Things to Note:

The indoor stone fireplace is decorative and not available for guest use.

The driveway is gravel but short and easy to access. Ample parking is available, including space for boat parking.

Cell service may be limited depending on provider. Wi-Fi calling is recommended.

With larger groups, hot water may need to be staggered during peak times.

Security cameras are located outside only. Exterior security cameras record video. Cameras face the driveway, parking area, and exterior walkway to the breezeway entrance. There are no cameras inside the home.

Rural Setting:

This home is located in a rural setting surrounded by nature. While the property is professionally maintained, guests may occasionally encounter insects or wildlife such as spiders, ladybugs, or other common outdoor critters. This is a normal part of the natural environment in this area.

Keep doors closed when not in use to help minimize insects entering the home.
