Inside, the home blends Southwestern character with everyday comfort: a wood-burning stove and leather sofa anchor the living room, glass globe pendants light the dining table, and colorful local art fills the walls. Two queen bedrooms with hardwood floors and ceiling fans sit just off the main space, and a door from one opens directly onto the covered deck and garden beyond.

Getting Around:

Much of downtown Santa Fe is a pleasure to explore on foot, and the Railyard's Santa Fe Depot is a stop on the Rail Runner Express to Albuquerque. A car is handy for Canyon Road, Museum Hill, and day trips; most visitors fly into Albuquerque, about an hour south.

- This home does not have air conditioning; Santa Fe's high desert keeps evenings cool, and both bedrooms have ceiling fans. Heating is provided by a forced-air system, with a wood stove in the living room (firewood provided).
