My wife and I had an absolutely terrible experience with this rental. We liked the idea of staying downtown for a conference we were at. We booked this place thinking it might be a nice change from the larger hotels and yet still in downtown.We arrived after dark and the parking lot was full. There was no parking! All spaces were taken. Due to improper check-in instructions, I could not find the room. The check-in instructions referenced a code to get upstairs and when I just walked up the stairs without a code, I assumed there was a different portion of the complex I needed to be in.We felt quite unsecure and unsafe outside with people loitering around the building, including grown men on bikes. It was not the type of place you want to be.Once we did get into the room, which the host was helpful in explaining, we checked it out and three minutes later left and got back in the car and booked a hotel. The room was not at all quaint or homey. It was more like a prison room. Kind of the feel of cinder block. The biggest deterrent for me was the shower looking like it had never been cleaned. No way would I step foot in that shower. In the room itself, the floor did not seem clean, and there was a hole in the wall. This may have some appeal for its location, relevant to nightlife. But I would suggest just getting a nice clean safe hotel room instead.Never again.
