The Space:

At Ocean Vista Cottage, you will have spectacular unobstructed water views and marvel at the beautiful sunsets and wonderful rock formations. This beautiful and dog-friendly home is nestled on a bluff overlooking the untamed Pacific Ocean. The walk to the beach will take just a minute or two - you will be sharing the beach with aquatic birds and occasionally a seal. Alternatively, curl up with a book in the living room while you relax by a warm fire.



What's nearby:

Downtown Bandon is a short and convenient two and a half mile-drive and there you can find a plethora of dining options (seafood, pizza, Asian food, Mexican food, etc.), markets and convenience stores, and more! This charming city is also well-known for its historic lighthouse and the highly-acclaimed golf courses you can find at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort (eight miles away). You can find even more outdoor activities by the coastline that include horseback riding on the beach, fishing, crabbing, etc.

My mistake..In that I did not check to see if the bedrooms had an ocean view.. They didn’t.. , however, problem solved.. I stayed on the couch, and was very comfortable.My friend said that she didn’t care for the bed, I believe it was to hard for her… As for the dogs, they enjoyed their stay… I was under the impression that it was fully enclosed, we brought our long ropes so no biggie.Finally, I didn’t realize it was so close a unit with neighbors, although they were very nice.I really was looking for a place with a hot tub, too however there didn’t appearto be any by the beach…with such a fantastic location as this one!! On a total positive note: The location was excellent! The ocean beach right around the corner.. with low tides you could walk to the big rocks and through the caves.. saw lots of starfish! We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the waves. and watching the ebb and flow of the ocean.. Cleaned up our poop and then some..Hope we got it all…Thank you

Wonderful view. Simple, clean, good location. We've stayed there before and will stay there again. But when my phone died the day before our stay, trying to communicate with the (desktop) chatbot or whatever was a nightmare. When I did finally have access to a phone, the customer service agent (a person) was very helpful.

As a dog mom staying in a dog friendly property without my dog I would assume that it would be clean and free of pet residue. However we had fresh wet pee in one of the bedrooms which made the house smell. This was reported as soon as we got there. Someone reached out after we checked out after 2 nights wanting pictures. It was very disappointing the way it was handled.

The house is insanely dated. The toilet seat is as old as the house. The paint is literally worn off the seat. Didn’t have even salt or pepper. No grill outside. No fan in case you were warm. The bedroom on the right about crippled us. The springs pop when you move. Absolutely awful. Pillows are as flat as pancakes. We moved to the other room the next day. The chairs in the yard are just plastic Walmart chairs there is zero comfort. You would never want to hang outside for a long time in them. The person in the adjacent cottage said her chair was broken. The view is the reason to rent this house and the easy access to the beach.
