Welcome to `The Duke & Duchess`, an updated, renovated duplex (you`ll have both sides to yourself!) that can sleep 10 people total, 6 on one side and 4 on the other (+2 infants free)! Enjoy hanging out together, yet enjoy your separate units for maximum privacy! With a total of 3 King beds plus 2 queens (bunk bed) & 4 total bathrooms, there`s plenty of space to get ready to go out & enjoy all of Columbia!

You will get both sides of the duplex to yourself! Each side is 2bed/2baths (total 4beds/4baths) with it`s own kitchen, living room, laundry, dining room and each side have designated `play closets` where kids can enjoy a fun space just for them!

*Please note that this is a duplex, but you have BOTH SIDES to yourself and each has it`s own AC/Thermostat with full guest control! Both sides are rented as 1 listing at this time as 1 Airbnb to guests. Please only park in the 2 front parking areas. We named it `The Duke & Duchess` because it`s located on Duke Ave and the decor turned out slightly more masculine on one side of the duplex, versus the other side of the duplex which is called `The Duchess` which turned out slightly more feminine.

We are across the street from a Columbia fire station. We have provided sound machines in each bedroom which our guests have told us help a lot. They seem very quiet with respect to sirens at night pulling out of the station. Very quiet area otherwise. We used to rent each side out individually successfully and may at times still (so please request if you have stayed with us in the past), but the walls are a little thin between sides and we felt like offering `The Duke & Duchess` as 1 entire listing would make the best experience for our guests traveling and staying with us!
In addition to federal/state/local laws, and any laws enforced by your booking app, please be mindful and respectful of the following house rules:
- NO Smoking in or on the property! This is a strictly no-smoking property. If you smoke we will charge you an additional cleaning fee ($275) and cost of ozone remediation that WILL be filed to your account. The cleaning company charges an additional cleaning fee + $150 for ozone remediation.
-For safety, insurance, and in case of emergencies, we ask for the first & last names and ages of everyone staying at the property (over the age of 13). Thank you for understanding — this helps us make sure your stay is safe and smooth!
- No parties / loud noises. Respect Quiet Hours 9pm-9am and be a good neighbor.
- No unapproved guests, unless otherwise agreed upon/given permission by host. Only the guests quoted on the stay are permitted onto the property. If you have any unapproved guests, we will charge a fee of $100/unapproved guest, and require the extra guests to vacate the premises immediately. Please approve any extra visitors with us prior to bringing them onto the property even stopping by for a few minutes as we have Richland County Code Enforcement rules to adhere by in regards to guest count.
-Please approve pets with us. If you bring an unapproved pet/animal, we will charge a $100 fee for additional cleaning, and may require your pet/animal to be removed immediately.
- Unless otherwise agreed upon, you can not check-in earlier than the noted check-in time and day, or check-out later than the noted check-out time and day. If you attempt to check-in earlier or stay past your check-out time without our permission, there will be an additional fee of $50/hr to pay our cleaners as they are prompt and need to be paid for their waiting time. We may also call the police for trespassing should you overstay your welcome. Our cleaners are prompt and many secure childcare or live 30 minutes outside of Columbia and if delayed will charge an extra fee to wait. Please request any checkout extensions by 7pm the night before check out.
- If you break/damage something, or discover something broken/damaged, please let us know.
- Do not move furniture / appliances / etc.
- Do not unplug important electronics (i.e. appliances, internet, etc)
- Do not unplug, block, or tamper with exterior surveillance cameras
- Nothing but toilet paper in the toilets.
-Guest will not hold owner, property manager or the Traylor Team responsible for accident, injury, or death. All bookings understand that by booking and paying for their stay, they accept these terms at the time of booking for the duration and thereafter of their stay.
-Do not leave any minor children unattended at any time while on the property. Please ensure all children are supervised at all times.
-No bookings under the age of 25. Primary booker must be 25 and are responsible for any other guests staying on the property at all times.
-Follow all check-out instructions advised by host. Should the property be left excessively messy or excessive trash, additional cleaning fees will be charged by our cleaning company.

To be mindful of during stay: Please help us save our quilts/duvets by sleeping inside the sheets not on top due to body oils/lotions/sunscreens/tanners leaving stains on our nicer duvets which are more expensive to replace.
