Clean with wonderful views but not near the beach.
This flat is spacious and comfortable with a terrace and a patio with lovely views of part of the bay of Port Soller and the surrounding hillsides. It is clean and well equipped to cater to all the basic needs. However, it is worth noting that some of the crockery, pots and pans are showing signs of wear and tear and may require replacement.
Communication with the host’s representative (rep) was sketchy. She was not available when we arrived to show us around and although there are comprehensive instructions in the apartment regarding its use, it would have been a welcoming touch to have someone there to show us around. During the week some phone calls to the rep were not answered and most WhatsApp messages were not responded to for at least 24hrs.
The apartment has a designated parking spot for guests situated on the roadside and secured by a key operated collapsible barrier to prevent unauthorised use. When we arrived, the barrier had been dislodged and was not operational, rendering it unusable. Although repairs were carried out during the week, the barrier remained inoperative. This meant that we had to find parking elsewhere. This was not a major issue but could be, at busier times of the year.
The most significant issue with the apartment is it’s claimed proximity to Port de Soller beach. The VBRO listing suggests an easy 6 minutes’ walk to the beach, which is not accurate. The apartment is in Carrer de Belgica, further up the hill than the Jumeirah Hotel. The walk fro
