The property is a former theater in the Theater District of downtown New Orleans & has the theme of a theater. The parking garage door has a covering that resembles a cutrain that would rise at a theater. The lobby has a glass enclosed movie theater with seating that can be used by guests. The elevators on the lobby floor have "Quiet" above the door rather than showing a floor number & once the elevator door opens the word "Applause" displays. Upon entering the elevator there is a wall-to-wall photo of spectators at a theater production giving you a standing ovation. On each floor at the elevator area, there are hologram-like photos on each side leading to rooms of a lady coming from behind a curtain to acknowledge you for a brief moment. The rooms have theater photos in the bedrooms (I had a 2-bedroom suite) & virtually any ammenity you could want, including a balcony overlooking the city with entrances from the living room & master bedroom. I was very impressed with my suite. There is a small rooftop pool & spacious terrace area with comfortable furniture & even a electric firepit that can be utilized. There is a great view of the city from every angle.Finally, EVERY MEMBER of this property's staff from those working in the lobby to the maintenance worker who came in less than 5 minutes when we blew a fuse (& immediately fixed) to the lady sweeping the rug near our 16th floor elevator were nice, helpful & a joy to interact with. I loved my stay at The Marquee.
