Very serene if you like the cows on the farm directly below. The bull snorts are interesting too. Roosters chime in frequently. Views would be really good except for the overgrown trees blocking them.

This very cozy cabin in the Smokey Mtn was perfect for a relaxing time out! It was exactly as advertised and so very quiet and comfortable! The bed was extremely comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great! A short drive to restaurants or attractions in Pigeon Forge but even nicer for a quiet “sit and read” time in the sunshine on the deck!

The cabin was absolutely amazing! It was super clean and she was so quick to respond! She also texted a couple of times during our stay to make sure everything was up to our standards! We would definitely stay again!

We needed a simple place to sleep and shower while we were in the Smoky Mountains, and Birdsnest was a perfect place for us. Located about 25 minutes from Dollywood and 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountains, it is located in Wears Valley, which is a nice community that has some shops and restaurants without being overly commercial. We didn't have any trouble finding the cabin or getting in. Look at the photos and note the steps to the entrance before booking. We didn't have any problem, but if you have someone with a mobility issue traveling with you, this is not the cabin for you. I was impressed with the cleanliness. The king bed was extremely comfortable, and it was nice to have a little porch for enjoying morning coffee outside. The shower has great water pressure. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

We arrived at 8 PM and found that the property had not been cleaned from the previous renter. After many attempts to communicate with the host and working with VRBO, we finally received a call 1 hour later. The host apologized, stated that they never were notified about the previous renter moving out, I believe it had something to do with VRBO's system. We had booked the cabin a couple weeks prior and had several communications regarding our upcoming stay so they knew we were coming. The host stated that their cleaning service was 90 minutes away which would have put us moving into a rapidly cleaned cabin after 11 pm. I asked for a refund, the host seemed like it was an unreasonable request, but eventually granted my request. We stayed in a hotel instead.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again. The location was excellent. We loved being close to Wears Valley and local shops without having to drive into Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. The driveway is steep, but that’s to be expected in the mountains. Although the property is shared, it still felt private and peaceful.The host was friendly, responsive, and quick to address questions and concerns. Check-in and check-out were easy, the photos accurately matched the listing, and the bed was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom also had great water pressure and plenty of hot water.The main area needing improvement is cleanliness. The cabin appeared to need a more thorough cleaning, as we found dust, cobwebs, dust bunnies, dead bugs around the bed frame, and small spiders in webs where the bed met the wall. We also noticed a sticky spot on the floor upon arrival, but there were no basic cleaning supplies available to clean it up. Providing an all-purpose cleaner and a few basic supplies would be helpful for guests.One other minor issue was that the fitted sheet repeatedly came off the mattress during the night, leaving us sleeping on the mattress cover.Overall, we had a good experience. With a little more attention to cleanliness and a few small updates, this would easily be a five-star stay.
