Serenity Cottage on Stone Church! Rustic and private 1 bedroom cottage

Beautiful and rustic 1 bedroom cottage! Open concept kitchen, dining and living room. Entire second floor is the bedroom. Step outside and take in the beautiful landscaping, gorgeous perennial gardens, ornamental trees and lovely hardscaping. Cottage is equipped with propane grill, outdoor shower, fire pit and outdoor dining area. 10 minutes to beaches, 5 minutes to the quaint New England Village of Tiverton Four Corners where you will find art galleries, unique shops and restaurants. 10 minutes to the Village of Westport, MA. For those traveling during winter or hurricane months, we have a whole house generator, so no worries of losing power. Dog friendly! Please be sure to choose the pet fee if bringing your pup.

Please note - there is another larger home on the property that the owners live in, but rest assured the cottage is completely private. The owners spend most of the summer in Maine.

I was happy to stay at the Stone Church Cottage two times this season. It was clean, quiet, and relaxing. It was a great location for exploring the nearby area. I also appreciated the snacks. I hope I can stay again.

Charming cottage nestled in the woods, in a lovely garden . It was private yet convenient to everything- beaches, hikes ,farm stands , coffee, ice cream and shops nearby . The hosts were welcoming and thought of everything needed for a fantastic stay .i will recommend to friends and hope to go back soon!

Clean and comfortable. Nice that is it per friendly and the owners took the time to leave notes around the house to help us know what items were meant to be used for and how they wished for us to care for them. Only drawback was we could not use the grill as it was not cleaned or ready for use in a long time it seemed.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cottage! Everything was absolutely pristine, beautifully kept, and incredibly clean. You can tell so much thought and care has gone into making guests feel welcome and comfortable. We especially appreciated all of the extra touches, including the snacks, drinks, and coffee that were waiting for us There was a basket filled with of restaurant and shop recommendations and our favorite was watching the hummingbirds outside the window! The bed was very comfortable, and the cottage itself was cozy, peaceful, and beautifully decorated. The location was also perfect—close and convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in town while still feeling like a relaxing little getaway- a home away from home We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Tiverton.

This absolutely lovely cottage in Tiverton, just a short and easy 40 minute drive into Newport, is beautifully done. A large living/kitchen/dining area greets you with a large king master bedroom upstairs. It's surrounded by nature, with beautiful landscaping. Definitely eat at the historic Four Corners Restaurant - excellent! The communication with the host was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our short, 2 nights there. The only small negative I would mention is the only bathroom is downstairs, and for us "older" folks who have at least one bathroom trip in the middle of the night, that was a little different, but again, minor. We loved this place! Thank you for being such a great host!

This little cottage was a great place to get some relaxation but also close enough to things to be able to sight see. There is a main house but it's far enough away that you have privacy. Our pup was able to roam the property off leash with supervision since the road is still a little close. Would definitely stay here again. Great communication with the owner and had everything we needed.

This was my first road trip without my husband. Serenity is a beautifully decorated cottage that was extremely comfortable. Katherine thought of everything and I could have literally just shown up with my clothes and food - all other supplies were there! A well-stocked bathroom and kitchen. Watching the birds and chipmunks at the bird feeders right outside the slider was mesmerizing. I counted at least a dozen different species, from red belly woodpecker to cardinal to goldfinch, etc. The sitting area outside is set up nicely. I have absolutely not one negative thing to say. I've been to many VRBOs and this one was the most thoughtful in terms of what you need on a vacation. It was clean, the host was accommodating, my 2 small dogs enjoyed the yard and everything was perfect!

This was a delightful cottage. It was extremely clean, tastefully decorated, and hospitable in offerings of snacks, drinks, and amenities. My partner loved that there was bird food and hummingbird food in the refrigerator so that she could refill the feeders. In addition to the birds, the squirrels gave us a show with their acrobatics. Be aware that the bathroom is downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs. We had missed that detail in the listing, but there were flashlights at the entry table that helped us stay safe in the middle of the night! The kitchen had everything and more that we needed. We enjoyed tea and espresso every morning thanks to the teapot for the stove and the Nepresso machine. There was also coffee in the fridge and a coffeemaker though we didn’t need it. The bed was very comfortable, as was the couch for sitting downstairs. (That was not true of either at the last place we’d stayed, so it bears mentioning!) I do suggest bringing slippers if you tend to be someone who takes your shoes off at the door. I have several socks with significant pulls from the nails in the wood floor. They aren’t high enough to hurt - just enough to catch socks! Overall, this was an amazing stay. We had no need to reach out to the owners during our stay, but when we did so before booking, they were very responsive.

The name of the property says it all. This is indeed a peaceful property in a charming town. The listing photos are an accurate representation of the home. I can’t wait to book again so I can see how beautiful the gardens/ woods are in the summer. It truly is like being at home. Katherine has thought of everything, much more than is even listed in the amenities. The wide open living space has cozy, comfortable furniture. Combined with the full sliding doors there’s an atmosphere that’s both airy and intimate if you can imagine that. Idk when I’ve ever slept as deeply away from home as I did here. I had to ask for the bed/ mattress brand because I must have it for myself at home. Check in was simple, the space is perfectly clean, and Katherine was quickly responsive. The Tiverton Four Corners is just a few minutes drive and has restaurants, ice cream, shopping, art galleries, and even a cheese shop. 10 out of 10 for both the property and the location.

The cottage had it all! The attention to detail was incredible from the water already in the coffee maker to poopourri on the tank of the toilet. Spotlessly clean and decorating beautifully. Cozy, quaint, comfortable. I could have stayed and watched the birds at the bird feeders forever! The photos do not reflect the serenity and special touches everywhere.

What a wonderful little place! You feel like you're tucked away in the woods but you're a quick drive to the beach and fresh seafood. Excellent proximity to Newport and Providence, as well as Westport and Fall Fiver in Mass. The cottage itself was fantastic, more than enough space for the two of us, and quite clean. We would absolutely be willing to stay again.

Serenity Cottage is an absolute gem, and Katherine and Bob are incredible hosts! We are so grateful that we were able to vacation for a week with our fur baby, Rio, in this beautiful, charming place. It was quiet, immaculate, beautifully decorated, and stocked with all of the home-away-from-home essentials, plus a few really lovely extras such as snacks, teas, and coffee. We especially loved watching the birds at the bird feeders and using the fire pit and espresso machine. Katherine was very welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. The cottage is located in a great area, and we were able to visit so many gorgeous places such as Newport (the Cliff Walk is a must), Sakonnet Lighthouse Beach in Little Compton, Colt State Park in Bristol, the oyster farm at John H. Chafee Rome Point Preserve, and Narragansett. Tiverton itself also has a lovely Parisian coffee shop named Groundswell with outdoor seating. We would love to come back to this cottage, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rhode Island!
