Unique—Serene artist loft on the Hoh River
An artist’s studio in the heart of the Hoh Rainforest—ideal for nature lovers, creatives, families, and couples.
Nestled deep within the Olympic Peninsula along the Hoh River—between the Olympic Mountains and the Ocean Pacific beaches—the Hoh House offers an ideal mix of relaxation and adventure, surrounded entirely by protected wilderness.
Step onto old-growth forest trails, explore the coast, paddle the river, or simply rest in quiet comfort— after a day in Olympic National Park.
The Space:
The Hoh House features a spacious open-plan layout, with two (2) high-ceiling bedrooms—one opening onto a private deck—at one end of the home. At the other, stand a fully equipped kitchen with an attached bar and a full bathroom with a large soaking tub and hand shower. An outdoor shower overlooking the forest is also available.
The expansive central dining and living areas—with locally milled Douglas Fir floor and abundant natural light—create a warm transition between the two sides of the home, giving the space the feel of a contemporary loft in the heart of the rainforest.
In the yard on each side of the house, two spacious decks— catching the shifting seasonal light as it filters through the trees—offer ideal spots for morning meditation, fresh-air relaxation, and effortless outdoor entertaining.
A wooded path on the property leading to the river’s edge, offers a private access to the Hoh for peaceful reflections by the water and fun adventure.
Guest access:
The Hoh House sits on five acres of private land, featuring scenic trails that lead to the Hoh River and adjoin protected Nature Conservancy land.
Inside the house, the Wi-Fi is strong enough for streaming and video calls, and most carriers provide reliable cell service. The widescreen Sony 4K Fire TV comes equipped with Amazon Prime for your entertainment. For quieter moments, explore our extensive library, featuring art books, poetry, and local history to enrich your stay.
An outdoor outlet is available for guests who wish to plug in their EV charger.
Power & Preparedness:
Brief power outages can occur in this area. For your comfort, we provide extra blankets, flashlights, and water storage. Please note that we do not offer refunds for power outages, and the property does not have a generator.
