Sorry that you thought there was a play area for your dog but nowhere on our listing does it say that there is. So, not sure where you got that from. Also, the Fulton Town Fishing Pier is less than 2 blocks from our place. Not sure why you are saying 7 blocks. That is not correct. Fulton Beach Road is only two blocks away which is where the fishing pier is. My advice would be to read the listing better next time or call if you have any questions. We are always available.

Thank you for the review! Since the cottages were updated less than one year ago following Hurricane Harvey, I am curious to know what is meant by “dated accommodations”?

This is the first I am hearing of this. Not sure where the remote was but it was there somewhere since the people that have stayed since your stay were able to find it. Wish you would have contacted us to help.

Each photo of the pier in the listing says the “Fulton Town Fishing Pier is just a 2 minute walk from your front door!”, which it is.

We reimbursed you that same day and offered you a discount on a future stay. Sorry you had to leave a day early but the entire town was flooding and we obviously cannot control the weather. Thankfully, none of the cottages flooded. We hope you can come stay with us again but I feel it is very unreasonable to give us a review like this for something completely out of our control.

Sorry the mosquitos were so bad but with all the rain we had around your stay, the entire town was having issues. I can assure you anywhere else you would have stayed would have had the same issue. We are constantly trying to get the town to do more spraying. Plus, the grills were just sanded and repainted like they are every year before Memorial Day weekend. Also, we try to empty the coals from the bin as often as possible but if this is over a weekend and a lot of people are using the grills, you may just need to empty them yourself. Sleeper sofas are sleeper sofas. None of them are very comfortable. But we have fairly new mattresses on them so not much more we can do about that. We also provide mattress toppers to help with that. As for the parking, we have never had that complaint in 15 years. So, if the people in the cottage next to you were not parking correctly or taking up your parking space, you just need to communicate with them about it or call us and we would have helped resolve the situation. Sorry you did not enjoy your stay but had you called us, we could have helped with everything besides the mosquitos. That is only something mother nature has full control of unfortunately.

First, we are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Unfortuately, unless we are told about these issues when they happen, there is not anything we can do to help you during your stay. We were told about the hot water, and we fixed it right away and never heard back from you. Therefore, we could only assume it was fixed. We have had multiple resevations since your stay and have not had any issues or complaints with the hot water. But, to be sure, we went ahead and replaced the breaker anyway. Also, that same day, we brought you additional towels that you requested. After this, we talked and you indicated everything was good. Without you asking, we also refunded you the first night's stay for the inconvenience because we felt that was only fair. Since Hurricane Harvey, it has been hard to find a good cleaning crew that will consistently do a good job. We think we are finally at a point where we have a good crew that we can trust will do the best job they can. As you can see from our 4 and 5 start reviews, we are not used to people not enjoying their stay with us. More than 75% of our business is returning customers and we take great pride in that. We will be sure all the issues you brought to our attention are addressed immediately. Again, we are very sorry you did not enjoy your stay.
