Steps from Glacier Adventures -- Tranquil Polebridge Cabin
Welcome to our tranquil retreat, just outside Glacier National Park and steps from the iconic Polebridge Mercantile, Northern Lights Saloon and North Fork of the Flathead River. Our one-bedroom cabin with a spacious loft offers a unique escape into nature.
Embrace off-grid living with solar power, indoor composting toilet, and water from an old-fashioned hand pump. The outdoor hot shower is amazing!
Relax on the deck, unwind in a hammock, and enjoy mountain views while your worries melt away.
The Space:
Step into this light-filled cabin with a vaulted ceiling and large windows that bring the gorgeous surrounding views into the space inside. The open floor plan includes an efficient kitchen, a cozy sitting area, and a large dining room table. The bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, dresser, and closet. The bathroom has a composting toilet, a clean, low-impact feature. Up the ladder-like stairs, find a spacious loft that contains four single beds and a TV with DVDs for movies. Step outside to the large deck and private backyard. A propane grill is on the deck! This property is just under one acre.
Because this home is off-grid and remotely located, our cleaning team invests extra time traveling to the property and performing a meticulous, top-to-bottom clean. The cleaning fee helps us maintain the high standards of comfort and cleanliness our guests expect.
Off-Grid Living:
Embrace the simplicity of off-grid living. Polebridge is a uniquely off-grid community, and this cabin gives you the full experience without feeling rustic! The power for the cabin is supplied by a small solar setup, ensuring that your stay has a minimal environmental footprint. There is no running water in the cabin, but there is a well on the property. Pump your water using the old-fashioned hand well and then bring it inside to use at the bathroom and kitchen sinks. One of your favorite experiences while you're here may be the hot outdoor shower! For your convenience and connectivity, the cabin has fast internet through Starlink.
Our small solar system is great for running the internet and the conservative use of lights. It will not power items that contain heating elements like blow dryers, curling irons, toasters, or coffee makers. All night power for items such as CPAPs is not guaranteed.
Be sure to fill up your gas tank and stock up on groceries and whatever you need as you come through Columbia Falls! There are limited services once you get to the North Fork. We have a pour over coffee maker with filters, be sure to bring your coffee!
Stays over 7 days allowed with approval, an additional cleaning fee will apply.
Outside Amenities:
Enjoy time on the large deck or step down into the yard to relax in a hammock under the whispering aspens. When it's safe for fires, enjoy the large fire pit with mountain views and stargazing. A ping pong table stored in the shed is always a good time.
Explore the Surroundings:
You'll feel tucked away on the property, but you're just steps away from the iconic Polebridge Mercantile. Enjoy their famous huckleberry bearclaw and a cup of coffee to start your day, or take in dinner at the Northern Lights Saloon, where there's often live music. Just down the road is Home Ranch Bottoms, another great spot for dinner. The North Fork of the Flathead River is nearby; relax on the shore or plan a day float, fishing expedition, or swim! There are many activities in the North Fork that are outside of Glacier National Park: hiking to a lookout, swimming at a lake, or just relaxing in the gorgeous surroundings of the cabin.
Glacier National Park:
The cabin is minutes from the North Fork entrance of the Park, or a gorgeous 40-minute drive from Apgar and the West entrance to the park.
Book your stay today and experience the North Fork!
