This villa was in a great location with the most amazing view! We enjoyed watching the dolphins and the busy Pelicans and Cormorants right from our balcony. The unit was very comfortable, clean and well stocked. The owner was helpful at checking in and readily available for any questions or needs. Looking forward to returning next year!

Perfect stay for vacation; all you need, close to the beach!

We are a couple from The Netherlands and we came to Florida to visit family. Our wishes were to have a place to stay in a safe area, that would be clean, quiet, has a nice view, has a swimming pool, would be close to the beach. This place had it all! If we had to mention one thing that could be improved; the mattress in the master bedroom. I would definitely recommend this place to stay!

We had a great stay, the unit overlooks Boca Ciega bay- we could see many tropical birds from our balcony and the occasional dolfin! Mike’s place has everything you need-every kitchen item that you can imagine plus a large cooler, beach chairs,& beach umbrella. The unit overlooks a beautiful heated pool. Mike is a great host- he promptly answered any questions or needs that we had!

We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice area and property owner was readily available. Master bathroom was recently renovated with new tiled walk in shower- pleasant surprise not shown in VRBO pictures. Pool and hot tub were great and just a short drive to St Pete Beach, Treasure Island Beach and Fort De Sota county park with undeveloped and unspoiled beaches. Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas provided. Shopping, Tyrone Mall and grocery stores nearby. Designated parking in attached parking deck. Wonderful. Highly recommend and hope to stay again!

The condo was spotless and everything that you would need was available right there. When we arrived we were met by the owner who showed us where the assigned parking space was and gave us a quick tour of the condo. If we had any questions he was just a phone call away. The view was great saw dolphins and a manatee. A short drive to Ft. DeSoto which has some wonderful beaches. The pool was also very clean and just a few steps from the condo. Definitely will be returning

Lovely location and comfortable for family stay

We have rented in Isla Del Sol for many years. The Apartment overlooks the beautiful inter coastal with endless show of birds, boats, sunrises and sunsets. Morning coffee on the porch is wonderful. The pool and jacuzzi is right outside, just a few floors down. The parking spot is a few steps down to the garage. All convenient. The apartment is well outfitted for cooking, pool and beach supplies. The building has an excellent gym and pool/ping pong / library room. Overall location is minutes from beach, and st. Pete museums and excellent restaurants. We especially like to have dinner in nearby Gulfport where there is an excellent fish shop.

Simply the Best!

What a lovely waterfront condo! The views are beautiful! Everything is just like the pictures and even better. Furniture and beds are clean and comfortable. The condo was spotless when we arrived. It had everything we needed and more. Mike, the owner, is very helpful and responsive to any questions or needs. We loved sitting on the balcony looking at the boats in the water, we spotted dolphins on more than one occasion. The beautiful views can be seen while sitting inside. It was great to be over looking the the pool as well. There is a fishing pier that can also be seen from the balcony, very close, and we actually caught many fish. There is a good size gym room with excercise equipment and treadmills. The location of the condo was great, close to downtown Saint Petersburg with great restaurants and parks. It’s about 30 minutes from Tampa where you can access bigger malls. Fort Desoto is only a ten minute drive, it has beautiful beaches, camping and kayaking. St. Pete Beach is about a seven minute drive. John’s Pass is about fifteen or twenty minutes away, there are shops restaurants, and boat & jetski rentals. The neighborhood of Isla Del Sol is safe, everyone is friendly. It was like a home away from home with all the activities and conveniences to make it a great vacation.

Vacation time getaway

The property was beautiful. Just as described.. The owner was very accommodating and helpful. Very nice person He met us the first night and assisted us with our luggage and even offered to help us when we were leaving. I however declined. . He even gave us a gift certificate to a restaurant for the inconvenience of the work being done on the villa. The workers started like the middle of March and continued for the two remaining weeks we were there. Our time in the unit was March 2nd to March 28th. . They would start working on power washing, or painting 8:00- 8:30 and work on and off to 3:00-4:00 pm. It was the poolside villa. Not only was it an eyesore but very loud. We had the orange fencing, aluminum ladders, a big boom parked next to the building under our patio. . I don't believe our condo owner was aware there was going to be that much work taking place. We loved our unit and would have been ok with a day or two of power washing and painting but two weeks a bit two long. We feel it is necessary to say something. A thank you to our unit owner but a lot of people were complaining about the slow process and the job being done. Jeanette and Steve Craig

I fully understand Jeanette's frustration with the noise. The painting company originally were to start on the Villas which my unit is' However it was changed and my unit was one of the last.I was not aware of the change. I would have told them of the work that was to be done while they were there. I always want my Guests to thoroughly have a relaxing, enjoyable stay.

The host is kind, accommodating and quick to respond. This property has some updates such as a new master bathroom shower and new, comfortable mattresses. There are thoughtful additions such as frosted mugs in the freezer, extra lawn chairs, coolers, pool noodles and beach towels. The condo is proximal to St. Petersburg and Fort DeSoto. The condo complex is well kept and provides a nice area for walking.

Isla Del Sol Stay

This is a delightful condo and is just as advertised in a great location near St. Petersburg Fla best beaches. The condo was spotless and the helpful owner met us when checking in. The kitchen is well equipped and the furniture is comfortable. The deck overlooks the pool and hot tub, and all are kept immaculate. There are great family owned restaurants ( Tony and Nello’s was our fav) in the immediate area. The beach and grill ( Paradise Grill ) at Pass a Grille Beach are not to be missed. We highly recommend this condo.

Wonderful stay

Mike was very kind, welcoming, and responsive. Everything at his villa was set up for us to have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We felt welcomed at his villa and very much enjoyed all of the amenities (pool, hot tub, gym, game room, dock for fishing). My son really enjoyed our trip as well. Mike had everything we needed ready for us at the villa. He even welcomed us with a bottle of wine and kind hand-written note. He was very helpful throughout the whole process. The views from the villa are beautiful, overlooking the water and watching the dolphins was great. We have vacationed at Isla del Sol for years and would happily come back to stay at Mike's place in the future.

BEAUTIFUL WATERVIEW APARTMENT

THIS APARTMENT WAS ADVERTISED PROPERLY...VERY WELL KEPT AND CLEAN! WATER VIEW WAS BEAUTIFUL FROM BALCONY AND LIVING ROOM. CLOSE TO MANY GOOD RESTAURANTS ON THE BEACH AND READY ACCESS TO THE INTERSTATE TO REACH THE DOWNTOWN AREA FOR MUSEUMS AND THEATER- AND MORE RESTAURANTS. OUR LANDLORD WAS A VERY NICE AND HELPFUL MAN. UPON ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE HE HELPED US WITH OUR BELONGINGS FROM AND TO THE CAR. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY FOR A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY!

Home away from home!

My family and I really enjoyed staying at this condo. This is our 4th year staying in Isla Del Sol, it’s so close to everything but yet set back in a quiet little paradise of its own. Mike the owner was extremely friendly, he was there to greet us and show us around. His condo is super clean and has everything I needed plus more for my family and I. I will miss watching the dolphins play from the balcony while sipping on my morning coffee. The Bay view is beautiful! We will definitely be returning and staying here again! Thank you, Mike. It was a pleasure staying at your place!

Great time at Bahia

This property made a for a great 2 week stay. Plenty of space for a 2 bedroom unit. My wife and I saw birds, fish and dolphins every day from the balcony, which by the way has a ceiling fan. Master bedroom has a walk-in closet and you can see the bay from 2 large windows. Kitchen was well appointed and stocked with cooking utensils for those home cooked meals. Michael was very pleasant and prompt with any answers or suggesstions. All in all a very nice place to stay.

The right location

This unit overlooks the pool and intercoastal waterway. Covered parking ramp parking spot is just a short walk to the condo. Completely furnished and newer appliances are in the unit. Close to walking paths. We walked darily to St. Pete's Beach which is just over the nearby bridge. Neighbors are friendly. A very secure and safe area to vacation in. We will return next year.

Stayed three months in this Villa for the second time, and will go again. The owner's description is accurate and he maintains it very well. The location is ideal and the view is spectacular. It's a quiet community with easy access to beaches, parks, libraries, restaurants, airports, lively St. Petersburg with its' museums, theaters, art galleries.

It’s nice when I have such fine guests wanting to return to my Villa. Even though they are returning next winter, I am still planning on some upgrades that I know they will appreciate. I always listen to my guests recommendations and if possible will act upon them. My Villa is excellent for all ages.

We have lived a number of places in Florida. While living in California , my wife visited St. Petersburg and fell in love with Isla Del Sol in 1978. We move here full time that November 1978. We have watched the island become the paradise it is today. It give you a peace of mind and a feeling of relaxation that is hard to beat.

is very relaxing especially while having your morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. I live in the Bahia Del Mar section so I am at your service if you have any needs. I will also meet you at the condo when you arrive to show you all of the amenities in the building.

We have loved it here for so many years that we wanted to share it with other people through our rental condo. There is something for everyone, walking, bicycling, fishing, swimming, beaches, excellent beach type restaurants, St Pete Beach and it's wide sandy beach is just 5 minutes away. Fort DeSoto Park voted number one in the world finest beaches is just 10 minutes away with a actual Fort, 2 fishing piers, 4 plus miles of beautiful white sandy beaches, picnic areas, grills, etc. I haven't even begin to tell you about St Petersburg waterfront downtown and their sidewalk restaurants You'll love it!
