The Little Beach Getaway

Welcome to this beachside getaway! Lovely 2-bedroom 1-bathroom cottage on the south shore of Prince Edward Island. Overlooking Confederation Bridge, with the beach access only a 1-minute walk away from the cottage. At low tide you will really appreciate the warm sun and waters for sunbathing, walking. swimming or exploring. The Little Beach Getaway is the perfect location for couples, family and the new friends you will make in this fabulous cottage community.

The cottage is a 792 square foot home with one queen bed in the master bedroom and bunk bed in the second bedroom. Lower bunk is double bed with the top being single. There is a pull-out couch\bed in the living room to rearrange sleeping configurations or if you are aware that it is a pull out couch, we may be able to accommodate another guest. Fully equipped kitchen with BBQ and dining area for your meals and couches in living room and with outdoor furniture for your relaxation.

You will have views of Northumberland Strait while sitting on the deck with your beach access only a short walk across a quite cottage lane or enjoy evening walks through this cottage community.

Our property is 20 minutes from Borden-Carleton, 20 minutes from Summerside and 45 minutes from Charlottetown.

There are a number of attractions close by, including Seacow Head lighthouse, the restored schoolhouse displaying the story of Lucy Maud Montgomery in Lower Bedeque, and Chelton Beach Provincial Park is a short drive for exploring different beaches at low tide or for a family picnic.

On those mornings you do not feel like cooking breakfast there is a country kitchen for all day breakfast with a historical museum in Bedeque that is 10 minutes away. Bordon-Carleton offers Gate-Way Village for souvenir shopping, ice-cream or a local craft beer and meal. Summerside offers local restaurants, seafood, craft beer, horse racing and all your modern amenities for you to pick up groceries and supplies for all your needs.

Enjoy full use of the house, with its games, tv, internet, BBQ, decks and property with access to the beach. We also have easy access smart lock for entry. Through app, we have a representative in the area for assistance. We are in the community of Fernwood. However, your mapping software may list it as Bedeque or Central Bedeque. All are correct for finding us.
