Welcome to Big Sky, a spacious mountain retreat just outside Salida, Colorado, thoughtfully set up for families and groups who want room to gather and room to spread out. With multiple living areas, a dedicated game room, and a private fenced patio with a gas fire pit, the home works equally well for active days outdoors and relaxed evenings at home.

Big Sky is located approximately five miles from downtown Salida and about twenty-five miles from Monarch Mountain, offering easy access to hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, dining, and local shops while still providing privacy and open mountain surroundings. The property sits in a Dark Sky–friendly area, making stargazing, meteor showers, and clear night skies a memorable part of each stay.

The home features a smart two-wing layout connected by a long hallway, allowing groups to comfortably share space without feeling crowded. One wing centers around the kitchen and main living area, ideal for cooking, dining, and conversation. The separate wing includes the game room and an additional living area, making it easy for kids, teens, or night owls to play games, watch movies, or stay up later without disturbing others. This layout works especially well for multi-generational trips and larger groups with different schedules.

The house includes four bedrooms with eight beds plus a queen-size sleeper futon, three full bathrooms, and two living areas. The fully equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances and ample space for group meals, with bar seating and a dining table nearby. Smart TVs are located in the main living area, game room, and upstairs bedrooms.

The lower-level game room offers a pool table, ping-pong table, dart board, cornhole, board games, a wet bar with beverage and wine coolers, a second living area with a Smart TV, a full bathroom with shower, and a queen-size sleeper futon.

Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious private patio with seating, a gas grill, and a gas fire pit with propane provided. The fully fenced yard is well suited for kids and pets, and the open setting provides mountain views and expansive skies in every direction.

Additional amenities include a workspace with desk and chair for light remote work, a two-car garage with additional driveway parking, and dog-friendly accommodations. Up to two dogs are welcome with approval and a non-refundable fee. Essentials such as towels, linens, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, dish soap, paper goods, trash bags, coffee, tea, and filters are provided. TVs are located in common areas and upstairs bedrooms; not all bedrooms include TVs.
