As soon as my dad sat in it, the legs fell off and he fell on the deck. The maintenance guy was great though, he came over right away and grabbed the chair and checked all of the other ones too! My kids especially loved the movie times we had using the 9ft projection screen.

Reviewer Comments: The cabin stay was very relaxing but the cabin floors were nasty, some of the pull out couches were nasty under them like nobody sweeps and there was food in the beds and I reached out to them and all they would say is it had been cleaned prior then stated in a separate email it wasn’t reachable because of road conditions. The microwave was busted and the bottom part of the refrigerator was falling off.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We decided to book this cabin at the last second. Elks Springs staff was great by calling us almost immediately after we booked online to give us all of the details on checking in. The cabin wasn’t ready right away (but for being a last minute booking I feel that expected and didn’t end up being an inconvenience for us). Once we arrived we felt the cabin was perfect for our large family! We were able to spread out and relax! The kids enjoyed the game room and theater system! We ran into a personal issue causing us to not be able to check out on time and Elks Springs was fantastic about extending our check out time for us. Overall we had a an excellent stay here!!!

Ehh.. not the best

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cabin was an okay stay. However there were some issues we did not like at all. There was no restroom on the main level so we had to constantly run up or down the stairs to use the bathroom. The beds & floor creaked so loudly it was a bit hard to sleep comfortably. All of the tvs were very small and not compatible with the remotes. Some were cable and others were Roku so that was a major issue with my family. The bed downstairs had blood on it. The shower heads are not in the best condition. The WiFi is as the absolute worst we’ve ever encountered in Gatlinburg. We had to keep calling for trash pickup. Also we asked of the location prior to booking and was told it was not in the mountains... which was untrue. Overall the cabin isn’t the worst but certainly won’t stay here again.

Beautiful home but needs to be cleaned better

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would stay at this property again because it was the perfect setup. Kitchen and living room on the main floor with a pullout sofa then downstairs was the game room with pull-out sofa and a king-size bed/bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs there were 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a king bedroom. There was another living room with a pull-out sofa so a total of 3 couches (1 on each level) all having pull-out beds along with 4 other bedrooms. The house is beautiful and set up nicely. The only complaint is the cleaning.. 1 of the bathrooms Smelt like urine and behind all the doors and all the baseboards it was just full of crud/dust and you could tell that they don’t ever wipe anything off they just do the basics nothing extra. I went to CVS and purchased spray bleach and other cleaner just to clean the house up some. Whenever I spray the tile with bleach in the bathroom that smell like urine it bubbled up which means there was Pee on the floor! The cleaning people need to do a better job because that’s just pathetic but the house made up for it I will definitely book it again.

Bear Cub Lodge Review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we were disappointed with this cabin and would not stay there in the future. The items of concern that we had were as follows - (1) No bathroom on the main floor. This was particularly a problem for my 92-year-old mother. (2) Only two small closets available for the entire cabin. Grossly inadequate for a four-bedroom cabin that sleeps 12. Also, there were no coat racks. (3) The wi-fi signal in the main bedroom on the top floor was weak and often would drop out completely. (4) The "home theater" was nothing more than a large screen on the wall in the downstairs sitting area. No theater seats or separate room. (5) Fireplaces inside were turned off and not available for use despite it already being fall. It would have been nice to use them on the mornings during our stay when the temperatures outside were in the 40's and 50's. (6) The floor in our bedroom was gritty with dirt and needed cleaning. (7) Although the kitchen and dining areas were good, we felt that other furnishings in the cabin were worn and should have been replaced. This was our fourth cabin rental with Elk Springs. We have been very pleased with them in the past and will be using them for our future cabin rentals. Just not this cabin.

Mountain Magic-Bat invested

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The first cabin that we had (Mountain Magic) was awful. The second day there was a bat in the bathtub (alive) on the main floor, and they came and removed it but that night we got woke up with another one flying around in the downstairs bedroom and even though we called the 24-hour number at 5 am they didn't come until around 9 or 10. They kept telling us that they would send someone out as soon as they reached someone, but we were told later that they don't send anyone out until at least after 8 am. By that time the bat had hid. Luckily, we got moved into another cabin that was a lot better. I would never book to stay at the Mountain Magic cabin. We could hear several bats in the attic so it's obviously a problem at that location. The refrigerator at the location didn't keep things cold either. We told them but it didn't get fixed. It wasn't very clean. The 2nd cabin, bear cub was much cleaner and there were no issues with bats at that cabin. We didn't get any discount or refunds for the first cabin either. The only thing they did was move us into another cabin. We didn't get much sleep the first couple of nights in the one cabin. My comments/ratings are based on the first cabin that we booked. The bear cub lodge that they actually sent this review for was okay. It was cleaner and no major issues. I would recommend that cabin but not the mountain magic cabin.
