The views were beautiful and the house was very nice and comfortable. Only two negatives were that the main bedroom had some ladybugs or beetles (not sure which) on the walls and in the shower. The house is in the woods, so these things happen. The other things is that the road/driveway up to the house is one lane only and has a drop off on one side. Coming in the fall, with leaves covering the road or if you arrive after dark it could be a little dangerous if you aren’t expecting the drop off. I think the host should let renters know about this. But otherwise, my friend group really enjoyed our stay and we had a great time!

Exceeded our expectations. Everything we needed and then some were provided. Comprehensive information for the house and the area. Super game and play area for kids of all ages. We would unconditionally recommend it and will plan to stay there again, only we'd try to stay longer.

Great long weekend

Our group of 12 (7 kids, 5 adults) were very comfortable at this house for our long weekend getaway. The house was very well set up for a multi-family gathering. The basement is amazing and the kids had so much fun hanging out there, while the adults took over all of the main floor bedrooms and common areas.

Family celebration

Our daughter has been at UNCA for 5 years after being the Covid kids she was then sidelined with stage 4 cancer and to top it off hurricane Helene sent them packing again. Finally able to celebrate with family house was able to accommodate a toddler, a newborn with sleep deprived parents, great grandma and the 22 year olds. Sound downstairs to upstairs very muffled. Thanks for making this great space. the only unfortunate thing was a forest fire across the highway sent us packing a day early should have known we were not “not out of the woods” yet. Definitely recommend this space to large families

Amazing location

Great house with lots of space for everyone. The playroom was amazing for the kids to burn some energy and the deck’s view was a nice escape for the adults.

Perfect Christmas Family Gathering

We had such a great time having our Christmas here!! We had 10 adults comfortably stay for 5 days. 2 of the King size bedrooms had private bathrooms (perfect for 2 sets of older parents). The king bedroom in the basement was very comfortable and also had a great view of the mountain. The bunk bed is a full size (both top & bottom) in the game area and the other full size bed is also downstairs in it's own room. If it's important, there weren't windows in those two rooms. It was great to have a second fridge in the basement (there's a kitchen but we didn't use it), and we loved watching movies down there too! The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, a pressure cooker, and a giant coffee pot, the kitchen was very appreciated and served our big group well with our homemade family dinners. There were extra dining chairs so we were able to have all 10 of us sit at the table together. The location was great, about a 25 min drive to downtown.The views were spectacular, and we loved the soaking tub and the sauna!! Hope we can come back again soon!!

Spectacular views of NC mountains in the Fall!

Seven of us thoroughly enjoyed this luxurious mountain home estate (beautifully designed spaces inside and out)! Such a wonderful sprawling home; no one was in each other's way. Enjoyed our time in the outside hot tub and played lots of corn hole (supplied). Visited and read on the balcony most of the time because the weather and views were so calming. Didn't want to leave the house; nor get in the way of workers cleaning up Asheville post-Helene. We saw lots of damage our way in from Durham with no problem on I-40 getting to the Leicester Mountain Estate West of Asheville. On our way out, our GPS did take us onto River Road and we saw the damage at the French Broad River. Beautiful Country Estate! We highly recommend and we'd go back in a minute!

Gorgeous House with Stunning View

We loved our stay here! The house is spacious, warm, well laid out, and full of very nice furniture and decor. It was a treat to be there. The pics are great, but don't do it justice. The Mountain View is incredible. The deck was surrounded by butterflies, which felt magical. The lower level was perfect for kids and teens - and adults as well. The primary suites were luxurious. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, playing the board games, and soaking in the hot tub. 25min drive to downtown which we didn't mind at all. Cell reception and direct tv were spotty but we didn't mind.

Fantastic stay!

We loved staying here! The house was perfect for our large group and age range of children. It was very clean and provided all the amenities you would need. The host was also incredibly responsive and answered all of our questions well in advance of our stay so we could enjoy the house while there. Would absolutely book again!

Family friendly and beautiful views

The house is lovely! The bedrooms accommodated our large family and parking was ample. The number of bathrooms and a large tub for little ones was much appreciated! The play area is so great for little ones too! Views from the deck are spectacular and the play area is amazing for small children. Mornings out on the deck are so peaceful. The need to tote garbage and recycleables a mile and avoid getting any food or oily debris in the garbage disposal was a surprise and somewhat inconvenient for a stay with a large number of people, but not too bad. I don’t recall seeing that in the property description, but it might be helpful for renters to know ahead of time.

Magical holiday stay with kids

This property is beautiful and wonderful for kids. We all enjoyed the amenities like the game room and hot tub. So many nice extras. Location was also good for us because we like being out in a more remote area, but close enough to Asheville’s amenities. Loved the views. Definitely would recommend!

Amazing Stay!

This was the absolute perfect stay for my best friend’s relaxed, mountain getaway bachelorette party. The house is absolutely STUNNING and comfortably fit 9 guests with plenty of room to spare. The property owners were incredibly thoughtful and intentional with all the decor and amenities and we had the best time relaxing and celebrating our friend. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and all the beds were incredibly comfortable! Will definitely recommend this stay to anyone headed to Asheville! Note: The wifi was a little spotty, but worked well enough if you were in some of the main areas. There is little to no service on the road to and from the house so just recommend downloading your maps route before leaving the WiFi or leaving the service area of the main highway!

Wonderful birthday weekend 2nd year running

I had a great time with my friends! Enjoyed the sauna and the hot tub, the well stocked kitchen amenities. This year I was running behind on finishing work before heading to my stay and the WiFi is very slow so I headed into Asheville for a coworking space to finish my last bit of work. Unplugging is a must here. The misty views of the mountains in December won’t be forgotten.

Complaint

Everything met or exceed expectations other than we were looking forward to using the hot tub. But it was not usable due to lack of water in the tub and the water that was there was cloudy and very dirty. FYI a couple door handles were loose and cornhole bags had a few leaks. Thanks for your hospitality
