Pros: The location was great, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were updated, and there were plenty of towels available. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay. The host was friendly and responsive when we reached out after a kitchen shelf unexpectedly fell while my husband was grabbing a bowl for his salad, resulting in several broken dishes. My husband also really enjoyed the upstairs gym. Cons: In my opinion, this property doesn’t quite feel ready to operate as an Airbnb. While it has potential, it felt more like a personal residence that had been quickly prepared for guests than a space designed for short-term rentals. Most of the furniture appeared to be secondhand, and the living room wasn’t very inviting. There wasn’t a TV in the living room, the seating didn’t look particularly comfortable, and the space felt sparse rather than cozy. The bedrooms had no headboards and only two pillows per bed. There were TVs in the kitchen, one bedroom, and attic, along with a projector upstairs, but we couldn’t figure out how to use any of them. Cleanliness was one of our biggest concerns. I found hair throughout the house, and the gym mat upstairs was extremely dirty. When I accidentally dropped a weight, a noticeable amount of dirt came up from the mat. My son sat on it and when he stood up, his freshly washed shorts were stained brown. The yard was unkempt and there was trash under the back deck. There is no privacy with sheer curtains in every room.
