Hundreds of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails are accessible from downtown, and Monarch Ski Area is just 20 miles away!

Want to stay in and cook? You’ll enjoy the well-equipped kitchen and dining in the spacious living area or out on the deck over the river. Or order curbside pick-up or delivery from one of Salida's many nearby restaurants. The deck has morning sunshine and afternoon shade--so it's pretty much perfect all summer long!

The area is known as the Heart of the Rockies, and it will beckon you to its mountains, streams, and breathtaking scenery - or you can just relax and enjoy the scenery from the comfort of your deck.
There are hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails located right in and around Salida, and lots more - including the Continental Divide Trail and the Colorado Trail - within a short drive.
