This is the bottom floor of a Chicago greystone building, located on the main street of one of the proudest neighborhoods in the nation. If you want to stay in a neighborhood where you feel safe to be who you are- this is the place! We picked this spot as the perfect location to watch the Chicago Pride Parade and it did not disappoint. It’s also just 1/2 mile from Wrigley Field so it was an easy walk to and from the Cubs game which was fantastic. And 1/2 mile from the lakefront trail gave us access to gorgeous runs along Lake Michigan and access to the rental e-bikes (Divvy) that we took to the Shedd Aquarium. As for the space itself, my teen loved the little cubby bedroom in the corner. Though there is just a small high top table with two chairs for a kitchen eating area, the porch out back has a large table, plenty of space, great seating and was quiet and removed from everything going on out front. The bedrooms have white noise machines to help drown out the late night bar noise from across the street but I’d recommend ear plugs for the weekends. The owner, Michael, is the nicest person, very sweet and welcoming and very responsive. The food options within walking distance are incredible. I highly recommend Milly’s Pizza, Savanna Cafe for breakfast/lunch, and Unabridged Bookstore for reading material.
