Overall we really enjoyed this home. The location is great, the house was clean and having garage parking was a bonus because street parking was difficult. The things that could be improved are the mattress in the master bedroom and the pillows, both were very uncomfortable. Also, a few hours after we checked in the host was messaging and calling me asking if we were going to be at the house at noon the next day because the electrician was coming. I told him that I would prefer that he schedule a contractor after we checked out and they were agreeable but it was definitely a turn-off. No one wants to deal with a contractor at someone else's home on vacation.

Stylish San Clemente Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Newly remodeled with lots of on-site amenities. (Ping pong table, pool table...) with a lovely view of the ocean off in the distance. The canyon views were a highlight when we spent an evening watching two owl soar through the air. The amount of hummingbirds was also magical. Bring a speaker if you like to listen to background music. And also bring a hair dryer.

Okay stay but would not book again

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was clean, cozy, and offered a nice view, with a great location close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The three separate living levels and nice outdoor space also worked well for our group of eight. However, this is absolutely not a luxury rental experience, and we encountered several major downsides that would prevent us from booking again or recommending it. First, the key pad did not work. Sharing a single physical key between eight people was a complete disaster, though we did appreciate the property manager coming to let us in when we accidentally locked the key inside. Second, there is a severe ant problem; we had to throw away $60 worth of groceries after leaving them out overnight because any opened food not immediately placed in the fridge was instantly swarmed.The amenities were incredibly sparse. We were provided exactly eight towels for eight people, forcing us to wash a load of laundry every single night using a washer that sounded like it was washing a bucket of large rocks. Basic essentials like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, coffee filters, and even a single hair dryer were completely missing. To make matters worse, the checkout process felt like a scam. We were charged $160 for two cheap towels and a top sheet that had some brown makeup on them, without the property management even attempting to launder them first. While I understand paying for actual property damage, being charged replacement fees before the items were even washed is unacceptable. It was an okay stay overall, but we will not be back.

This house was super clean and awesome decor! Beds are comfy and definitely liked the downstairs. The view was perfect and easy access to the beach just a short walk!
