Cozy Riverfront Cabin w/ Dock, Fire Pit & Dogs OK
Summary:
Unwind at The River’s Edge, a 2-bedroom, 1-bath riverside cabin surrounded by nature. Relax on the deck with river views, enjoy the fire pit, or step onto the private dock (May–Sept) that puts you right on top of the river—an ideal launchpad for the kayak, canoe, and paddleboard. Perfect for a peaceful getaway, this cozy cabin is just minutes from Guerneville, Duncans Mills, local wineries, and the Pacific Coast.
The Space:
Escape to River’s Edge, a secluded riverfront sanctuary where the forest meets the water. Tucked away in the Russian River Valley, this retreat offers the perfect mix of classic cabin charm and modern luxury. Whether you’re here to soak in the hot tub under the redwoods, craft pizzas in the outdoor oven, or simply unplug by the fire, this is your private basecamp for relaxation and connection.
As you step inside, you’ll find a home that balances the historic feel of a lodge with the freshness of a modern remodel. The living room is defined by character—planked walls, heavy ceiling beams, and a classic brick fireplace—but it feels playful rather than dark. We’ve curated a "rustic whimsy" aesthetic, filled with interesting art and unique findings that spark conversation and make the space feel personal.
The heart of the home is the sun-drenched kitchen. Skylights flood the room with natural light, illuminating the clean white cabinetry and the central island (a perfect spot to perch with a glass of wine). The dining area is wrapped in glass, offering uninterrupted views of the forest canopy. Mornings here are the best part of the day—brew a fresh cup (Keurig and drip provided) and watch the mist rise off the water through the windows.
We believe vacation is about actually resting. The two bedrooms are painted a soft, cheerful yellow to catch the natural light. They are simple, uncluttered, and designed for comfort, featuring queen-sized beds with proper bedside tables and reading lamps. There is plenty of room to unpack, settle in, and leave your suitcase in the corner.
The bathroom features cool tile floors, a shower, and an extra-long mirror that makes getting ready easy for two people. We provide plenty of freshly laundered towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap, along with a kit of emergency essentials so you have everything you need the moment you arrive.
The outdoor living space is designed for making memories. We’ve turned the deck into a theater for river life, where the architecture literally makes space for nature. The expansive deck was custom-built to accommodate the redwoods, "kissing" the bark and allowing the trees to burst right through the floorboards. You can step out of the hot tub and be within arm's length of a tree that has stood here for generations.
Fire up the brick pizza oven and BBQ for an al fresco dinner, or settle into the outdoor chairs around the fire pit, surrounded by landscaped ferns and native grasses. From the hot tub, you are perched up above the river with a view of the water below. It’s the perfect vantage point to watch summer floaters drifting by in the distance, or simply listen to the wind in the trees. During the warmer months (Memorial Day weekend through Columbus / Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend), guests can enjoy access to the seasonal dock and kayaks.
Whether you are planning a quiet couples' retreat, a family getaway, or a reunion with friends, we invite you to River’s Edge. We would love to host you and help you create your next great memory.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the cabin, deck, yard, and riverfront. Watercraft, including a kayak, canoe, and paddleboard, are available for guest use. Outdoor amenities such as the fire pit, BBQ, and pizza oven are all yours to enjoy.
