Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry your stay did not meet expectations, as we work hard to provide a comfortable and peaceful experience for every guest. For clarity, the Forrest Retreat is a private lower-level suite with its own entrance, living area, bathroom, and bedrooms. This layout is clearly described in our listing so guests know exactly what to expect. Most guests find the suite very quiet, but your visit happened to overlap with an upstairs flooring project where we were adding additional sound barrier materials. We addressed the noise as soon as we were made aware. All listing photos were taken personally with our cell phone and accurately reflect the suite and property; none are from a tasting room or any other business. You traveled with dogs, and pets can be sensitive to new environments and sounds, which may have contributed to the disturbances you experienced. We also prepared a complimentary welcome basket with individually wrapped dog treats for your stay. Based on your feedback, we have chosen not to allow visiting pets to stay in the suite to help ensure the quietest experience possible. When you reached out, we responded promptly by providing earplugs, a sound machine, and by working closely with VRBO to secure a significant refund. While we wish your stay had been more restful, we appreciate your communication and continue to use guest feedback to refine the experience. We remain committed to offering a clean, welcoming, and enjoyable stay.
