With this place you get the best bang for your buck than any other bnb I have stayed at. The Viking theme makes it memorable and the host was over the top accommodating. Be booking this one again.

This was a great stay in a nice neighborhood, close to stores and only about 15 minutes from downtown Boise. The room and 1/2 bath are private, with easy access to the backyard space. My dog was able to spend some time outside on the patio and grass area, which was so helpful. Mary is a very kind and thoughtful host!

Very cute room and half bath. Very comfortable for my one night stay. Of course it would be nicer if the shower was actually in the room instead of in the house. Accessed by going outside and then through a different door into the house, through the house and upstairs to the actual house bathroom. As expected though it works and otherwise I would rate this whole stay as a five across the board.Mary was very nice, communicated as needed and very easy to deal with!!

This should not not be a vrbo. We did not have the whole place to ourselves. We had a room that was impossible to secure with a shared shower. We were there just long enough to call a nearby hotel and make a reservation. It really wasn’t was we were expecting.

We had problems with the lock when we came in & didn’t really use the pool. Possibly would suggest a gate so it is easier to get the yard. Other than that it was clean & not a bad location.

Honestly we have never stayed in a better Vrbo! Mary was seriously amazing. My fiancé and I traveled up to Boise for the first time to welcome our neice into the world , and had a hard time finding an affordable place to stay in the area at such short notice that allowed our sweet puppy to tag along without being charged outrageous fees. Then we saw Mary’s home! A space filled with so much love and good vibes. & She’s a dog lover! :) The Viking theme is amazing. So cozy, and exactly what it looks like in the pictures! Mary was so communicative and reached out often to see if we needed anything. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub because we wanted max baby time with our family in town, but the hot tub and pool were available and looked so extremely relaxing. Next time we will check it out, because we will definitely be back! Id choose The Viking every time we visit to Boise, because the hospitality and vibes are unmatched. This place is a gem!

When description reads ‘whole house’ and ‘Viking master bath room’ and photos show a stack of towels I would expect a bath or shower. It is at the point that guests have to dig to find the scam. I felt slapped in the face. We came in tired and unwell. The towels were for show. No shower, no tub, not even a wash cloth to wash our face. We left the next morning to get a motel so we could bathe before we left town. There were also people smoking right outside our door so no fresh air. I’ve learned a lesson. Get a decent motel.

This is not a scam—my listing clearly states that it’s a bedroom in a shared home, with a half bath and access to a main shower inside the house. The ad also mentions that smoking is permitted outside. I even included pictures to confirm this. I offered you the shower access when you asked, and I expected a more respectful interaction. Your booking was for one night but your review makes it sound like you left the next morning to get a motel. Im sorry your expierience was a let down. Safe travels.

We couldn't control the temperature in the room. That was done by the main house.We were also under the impression we would have access to the pool. We did not. But other than that it was ok.

Thank you for the review. I just want to clarify that the fence is only there to keep my dog in his space. You did have pool access—just unhook the gate or step over it. And it’s clearly stated that it’s a bedroom in a shared home with central heat and air. I appreciate you staying!

I highly recommend this room for anyone traveling to Boise The directions to the property and check in process were clear and easy The room itself was spotless and accurately described in the listing I can’t say enough about the host Mary. She was very responsive to any questions

Check in issues were more the fault of VRBOs app. Was told I would get a text or email and didn’t had to search through the app to finally find the gate code. The host responded quickly when I messaged about it. The room was homey, the bed although high was very comfortable and the temperature in the room was great. My issues are all with the cleanliness of the bathroom. The faucet in the sink has buildup on it, the toilet has at least an inch of mildew under the rim all the way around, it was the first thing I noticed when I entered the bathroom. And the fake plant although a nice addition is very dusty. I don’t know who they are having clean it but they should go with someone else
