Beachfront Ground Floor - Great Complex & Location

This unit is great value for the money. It is the only 1 BR ground floor unit that looks directly out at the beach with fabulous sunset views. Unless you are fussy about having a recently renovated unit there's not much you won't like about this one. Our adult son was with us for 2 weeks and used the LR hide-a-bed then we had 2 extra weeks of rest and relaxation.

Appreciated having the boogie boards/chairs/towels (even reef approved sunscreen was available!). Had spectacular sunsets and in the evening you can watch the turtles coming in for the night (what a treat!) Should have stayed for another week! Darn job, always interfering with Maui fun.

Believe stove top needs to be serviced and the toaster. Other than location to beach, We felt the price was a little high for what you got overall.

Location, location, location

Best-located unit in the complex - right on the beach with only a small grass yard separating patio from the beach. First impression was mixed as I arrived late at night with all windows shut (no A/C) with unit hot and smelling a mixture of smoke and air fresheners. A nights worth of cross breeze and the morning sunrise rectified the first impression just perfectly. I was under impression unit had dishwasher and in-unit washer/dryer (it has neither). Not that big of a deal, just managing expectations. Beautiful sunsets every evening and centrally located within Kihei, close to groceries, gyms, food trucks and restaurants. Would return!

Having a grocery store within walking distance as well as several restaurants so close is a real bonus. The condo itself is showing its age and is poorly maintained, and the kitchen is very poorly equipped. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower but the rest of the room is in need of TLC. We have been spending a lot of time ON Maui since retirement and found this unit over priced and not comparable to others we have stayed in .

It is very quiet and you hear the waves at the beach all the time. The large swimming pool is steps away as well.The BIG ISSUE with this unit is inadequate hot water. When taking a shower you have enough hot water to wash your face only. Then the water turns cold. This was uncomfortable and we reported lack of hot water to management. Ask if the hot water is fixed before renting.

It took 45 minutes to reach maintenance when the water heater stopped working.

The kitchen arrangement is difficult... the sink next to frig,the stove way bigger than needed. Watch your head when the cabinet door with the glasses is open. This door is wider than the counter top. There are over 10 very dull sharp knives and all should be sharpened or discarded. Three would be plenty. The L shaped kitchen arrangements in other units are easier to use. Lots of owner items in the bedroom closet limit guest space a bit. The beach chairs are about done for. The cooler is just the right size for going to the beach. Bathroom and bedroom are comparable to the other units we have rented. You pay a little extra for the location and overall comfortable unit.

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed here once before the renovations...We jumped at the chance to stay here again because of the renovations and we were very happy with how the condo has been completed. The condo has decent stock of cooking utensils and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom was renovated too and the shower is awesome. Now, saying this, we also stay here because of the 65 steps to the ocean and the overall location with very easy access to all of Kihei and amenities. Finally we appreciate the professionalism from RentalMaui. They are informative and are timely with their emails. A nice feature when they provide a useful hospitality app for the condo and area.

Excellent location, friendly environment

Excellent location, beautiful view of the ocean and beach. No air conditioning, however during our stay it was not required as there was a nice breeze at all times. There are ceiling fans in the living area and bedroom. No dishwasher or washer/dryer in the unit. Some fresh paint on the walls would improve the overall looks of the condo. We would definitely stay here again. The resort grounds were well looked after and the people were very friendly.

The bed was super comfortable, and with all of the windows and fans, we were fine without AC. We loved the new outdoor furniture and spent a lot of time out there. The best part was the semi private beach behind the condo. No need to go anywhere to watch the sunrise or sunset. And the condo was fully stocked with supplies for the occasional and inevitable bug that got inside. I will say - this is a comfortable, homey feeling condo.... not lavish, or a 5 star resort... which is not what you would expect when renting a condo. We hope to be back!

This property was very comfortable and inviting. I think my only complaint is that there is no dishwasher which I would have been made aware of in the description. I would gladly stay at this complex and specifically this unit any time. Mahalo for the perfect location for our Maui adventure.

Comfortable, Close to Everything Necessary.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was excellent, had remodeling completed but some items yet to be done. Very comfortable, closest to the beach, grocery store on corner. Authentic Hawaiian, Mexcan, close by. Fast food, shave ice, pie, Maui coffee, something for everyone. Bus stop close by, easy on/off. No car needed (unless you are packing a lot of luggage, see bus rules). We will stay again, this was our second time at Waiohuli Beach Hale, and out third time with Maui Rentals.

UNBELIEVABLE- PERFECT IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY

Reserving to checking out management was superior! ****NOTE: no AC so choose your time of year, we did and utterly amazing. Views were to die for, being ocean front was like we were never indoors

Steps from Paradise

This was a great little place! Just what we needed, nothing too fancy, and the beach was steps away. We would definitely love to stay here again in the future.
