The Space:
The Home- Newly renovated 3,636 sq ft. lakefront home. 4 bedrooms with a loft/studio style bedroom. Luxury plank waterproof flooring throughout common areas, with new carpet in bedrooms. Two bedrooms on the main level provide a stair-free experience if needed.
Bedroom 1 (Primary, main level)- King bed, nightstands, dresser, smart tv, ceiling fan, walk in closet, access to primary bathroom and direct access to the indoor spa.
Bedroom 2 (main level)- Queen bed, side table, window seat, ceiling fan.
Bedroom 3 (upstairs)- Queen bed, twin/twin bunk bed, bay window bench, rocking chair, built in desk, drawers, and ceiling fan.
Bedroom 4(upstairs)- Two twin over full bunk beds, kids table, build in desk, and ceiling fan.
Bedroom 5(loft)- Located in the gaming room. There is a bookcase divider, but there is no door for privacy. Queen bed, and armchair.
We provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, cotton rounds, q tips, and floss picks. We do provide 1 hand towel and 2 wash-cloths per bathroom. 16 bath & 16 spa towels are provided. (Not for lake use, please bring extra for lake.) A minimum of 2 rolls of toilet paper is provided per bathroom. More may be left depending on number of guests and duration of stay. If you use large amounts of toilet paper, please bring extra.
Bathroom 1(Primary 1 lower level)- Single vanity, and tile shower.
Bathroom 2 (Primary 2 lower level)- Single vanity, tile shower.
Bathroom 3(upper level)- Single vanity, tile shower.
Bathroom 4(upper level)- Single vanity, shower.
Kitchen- Open floorplan with visibility into dining and living area. Full-sized fridge, gas stove, gas 5 burner stovetop, dishwasher, toaster, and microwave, to help you create wonderful meals. If you prefer take-out no worries! Regardless of your dining preferences, we stock most all utensils, dishware, cookware, and bakeware needed.
Bar seating for 4.
A starter pack of paper towels and trash bags are provided. Along with dish soap, medium roast coffee grounds, and sugar.
Coffee set up- 12 cup drip
Dining room (main)- In view of kitchen & dining area. Seats 6
Living room (main) – Windows look out to the lake and back deck. Sectional couch, coffee table, and wood burning fireplace. Small table for 4.
Fireplace- Located in living room. Wood burning only. We do not provide wood. It can be purchased and delivered to the home (24-hour notice is recommended). Or you can purchase it at many places in town. If there is wood left behind, feel free to use it!
Mudroom/storage- Just off the main entrance. Perfect to unload, and keep all your gear close, dry, and organized. 8 oversized lockers, benches for ease of gear removal, and boot trays. Medium & large dog kennel are available for your furry friend.
Laundry area- Located on main level next to the storage room. We provide laundry pods.
Game room (loft upstairs)- Perfect for an extra space to lounge. Full sized pool table, pinball machine, multi arcade machine (not in photos), electric keyboard, and telescope! Windows open up to the lower living room. Sofa, two swivel armchairs, electric fireplace, and smart tv to stream your fav apps. Access to the balcony via sliding door(pictures coming soon). Sleeping space #5 is in this room with a bookcase dividing the space.
Keep in mind, we clean up pine needles and remove weeds 2x a year. Please set the proper expectations as tree sap, pine needles, leaves, and twigs will be present on the property.
Front yard- small grassy fenced area with the front porch and park bench. We have a 3rd party landscaping company that maintains the grass. We will always do our best to let you know if they are scheduled during your stay; however we cannot guarantee notice.
Back yard- Just off the back deck. Large grassy area is fenced with 3-foot iron fencing. There is a gate leading out to the lake/beach/dock. Please be mindful of children and pets. This is not a deep-water area. Plastic lounge chairs and picnic table to enjoy the lake vibes.
Deck/patio- Access from the spa room & kitchen. Overlooking back yard and lake. Iron dining table for 6, small side table for 2, two lounge/sun chairs, and grill attached to gas line. No need to worry about propane refills or swaps!
Spa- Enjoy a soak in the indoor 6 person spa. Access via primary bedroom and main living area. Spa room overlooks the back deck. Windows open to provide ventilation. Maintained after each guest reservation. Please keep in mind as a rental the chemicals will be higher than a personal home spa. Longer stays, we will schedule the spa maintenance once a week. Spa hours are set for 7am-10pm only. This is a city rule for rentals. We provide 16 spa towels, not for lake use.
Dock- Dock is not in a deep water area. Seasonal use only. The dock is removed during winter months by lake services. If the dock is important during spring or fall bookings please reach out to ensure it is out.
Outdoor wood fires are not permitted due to high-risk fires.
Parking- No garage access. Total parking is for 4 vehicles only in the flat asphalt driveway.
Heating- Central heating & wood burning fireplace.
Air conditioning- Please note that most homes in Big Bear do NOT have air conditioning. This area does have many tall trees, it is insulated well, along with portable fans and being lakefront. It helps keep the home cool, but not cold. Please open windows at night to let the cool night air cool the home.
This home allows 2 dogs with non-refundable pet fee($100 per pet, per stay). Pet fees do not cover damage, failure to clean up after animals, or excessive shedding. Please do not leave pets unattended unless in a kennel/crate. Please note this home has short iron fencing, please ensure your dog’s safety by walking the perimeter. For any service animal, please be prepared to answer appropriate questions and provide proper documentation.
