Welcome to Blanchet Casita! Whether you're enjoying this space as a standalone apartment or add-on to the main house, you will not be disappointed in this newly constructed ADU. This space has a full, well-stocked kitchen- including all kitchen essentials- and printer! Whether you are here to enjoy the beautiful patio in the warmer months or the electric fireplace in the colder fall and winter, you will have every comfort to keep you happy.
The Space:
This beautiful home is located just eight minutes away from Portland. Plus, we are so close to the airport that you'll be able to take a bit more time packing on your departure day, too. We are perfectly located!
Fancy some river time? Marine Park, is only five miles away!
Step outside and enjoy your own private patio — perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine around the fire pit or sipping your morning coffee in the fresh air.

The Casita is an addition to the main house. We offer our casita as an add-on to main house guests, or as a stand alone private unit.
The Neighborhood:
The Father Blanchet Park Neighborhood is perched on a hill that looks down and south across the Columbia River to Portland and its international airport. The neighborhood has easy access to state Highway 14 and Interstates 5 and 205 and is a very short trip to the airport and other Portland destinations.
This home also sits just 5 miles from the local boat launch, Marine Park, and with ample parking for boats at the house, we look forward to you floating, boating and picnic-ing during your stay with us!
The neighborhood is almost entirely residential and full of beautiful, classic homes, most built during the coveted mid-century. It is a well established neighborhood with large lots and homes with character. Many neighbors have lived in the neighborhood since their homes were built, and as a result, has a very friendly, neighborly vibe.
Getting Around:
-- You'll want to bring a car to get around while staying at this home.
-- There is parking for one car/small crossover at this home.
-- Please do not park in the street. You will be towed!

32 - Evergreen / Andresen - Hazel Dell Ave - 0.6 mi
37 - Mill Plain / Fisher's - 0.7 mi
Other Things to Note:
-- IMPORTANT: Please note this is an ADU on the property but not attached to the home that is occupied occasionally by family or other tenants. It has its own separate entrance and should not impact guest stays.
To offset the inconvenience, we have lowered our rates. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you.
-- Please note: This home has a 3 night minimum on all holidays/festivals and 3 night minimums on weekends May - September. We also do not allow the weekends to be broken up. We do make rare exceptions, you are more than welcome to reach out and check with us!
--IMPORTANT: Please note that on all bookings on platforms other than Airbnb there is a deposit of up to $500.(Please inquire for the exact amount) This is to cover any potential damages to the home or property. Deposits will be refunded the day following the day of check out minus the cost of any damages. Guests will be notified of any damages and documentation for any deductions will be provided. This will be processed as a separate payment but can be made with the same payment method or a different payment method based off guest choice. Please be aware that if you do chose a different payment method you will need to provide the payment details.
-- IMPORTANT: Smoking of any kind indoors is strictly prohibited and will result in a $800 fine and additional action up to eviction.
-- As required by the city for permit requirement of the rental, the following information are required for all guests whose reservations will be accepted:
1) Full name of each guest
2) Your Address
3) Best contact number
4) Email address
5) License plate number if bringing a car (please provide on the day of check in if renting a vehicle)
6) Estimated arrival time
-- We do have an additional guest fee of $25 per guest per night, after the first 2 guests.
-- Please review the House Guide that is sent to you 3 days prior to arrival for detailed information about the home.

I won’t be available in person, and prefer communicating through the app.
