We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable, freshly remodeled cottage. The area is quiet, the view of Tawas Lake very peaceful. Town and area attractions are conveniently close by. We have stayed in a number of cottages and cabins in the area over the years and this was one of the cleanest.

We had poor communication with the owner and the maintenance man. The house itself was nice but the owner was very rude and argumentive when I notified him that the internet was not working. Therefore we could not watch any of the three televisions that we had.which the property was advertised with free wifi and 3 working smart tvs. I was on hold with vrbo a few times and did not want to spend anymore time dealing with the issue because I was on vacation. I really feel I deserve a refund for one of the three nights I paid for in advance because the house was not as advertised and the owner or maintenance man never came to fix the problem and the power lights were on the I ternet boxes and we unplugged them like the owner asked and waited and plugged back in. Nothing he suggested worked. And the night before we left we discovered out back on the property there was a line dangling in the wind which possibly could have been the issue. But no one ever came to try to fo anything about it and I was very upset and disappointed. Not what we paid for and kids were bored and disappointed as well. We have another trip coming up booked through you if you could possibly apply discount to our next trip.

Thank you for the feedback. Otherwise we had no issues with the stay and hoped your family enjoyed the property and the lake. A few clarifications for future guests: maintenance contact information was provided the first evening the issue was reported. The error shown on the TV is a generic "not connected" icon — it doesn't indicate where a connectivity problem originates. When we discussed the possibility of an issue with the line at the time, that was explained directly in conversation, not something left unaddressed. On our end, remote diagnostics showed the equipment offline for the duration, our internet provider confirmed no outage on their side during the stay, and our cleaner verified the connection was working normally both before and after your visit. This is also the first we're hearing of a loose line on the property. We'll have the ISP inspect it for both safety and reliability going forward.
