There is always one. Dear Mr Evans. Thank you for your review. We appreciate your opinion. It always helps us to grow when the review is honest and accurate. Yours reached my expectations with no surprises. I wanted to response to your review with the same emphasis, as you direct your remarks to me, but I felt it would better to re-define what is "integrity" and "honesty": Let me refresh time: We offer you to relocate your family with "VRBO relocation team", BEFORE and DURING your stay (full reimbursement). And you refuse the relocation EVERY time. You so loved the villa and everything was perfect ! Every time you asked me for something, it was provided in timely manner as I treat every of my guests. It’s my reputation on every review we have, for each of our villa: I am responsive, helpful, joyful and professional. I felt you expected me to be your free butler (or slave) and being present 24/7. That attitude was noticed also by my staff, your staff and third-party contractor we brought twice to fix the washing machine that was not broken but misused. I made you aware on VRBO chat that your whole attitude towards us, has been reported to VRBO many times. It even reached the point where VRBO advise me to remove you and your family with local authority. (Email). I told you about this situation in order to calm down your excess towards all of us. Every owner has the right to remove troubling guests. So, nothing to do with your false claim as minors repairs (or big repair. It's quite confusing in your review. Big, or minor repairs, we don't know). Obviously, we are civilized and educated people and I didn’t want your kids to experience such trauma on vacation. It would be heart breaking to see 3- and 10-years old kids been removed by the police. It's unconceivable and never crossed my mind. Once again, it was strongly advised by VRBO. Then, we carried on handling your attitude, providing the service we suppose to provide but putting barriers to avoid escalations. That's our integrity ! Let's talk about your integrity. • You booked a chef for 20 days and last minute, you changed and reduced the whole schedule so she had to cancel you. The whole price deal changed completely. Who would like to be booked professionally and cancelled last minute without being paid? • You even didn’t pay for this first chef hours and groceries. I had to pay her. This chef clearly asked you for a deposit as her protocol but you denied to pay. She paid in advance your groceries with trust, and you, with a superb sense of integrity, you didn't reimburse her. • Throughout your stay and despite our very best efforts, you made contradictory statements, for example, you said to our second chef, Ashley, that the villa was great ....(recorded by her, feeling so uncomfortable with you). You asked her to cater more for dinner in order to have left over for lunch for 5 people! That’s a great understanding and consideration for her work ! • You pretended that I TRIED to charge you for extra cleaning, but did I not told you that maid was for 4 hours and any extra will be extra charges? Is it not mentioned in the listing? In the summary, in tittle? Honesty and integrity at your best. • Let’s talk about the rest of your creation: pool tiles are perfectly fine, we don’t have any wooden baseboards around the pool, I sincerely don’t know what you are talking about. WIFI is working of course, I just wanted to boost the speed because you complained about it (message recorded on VRBO chat), Netflix and other channels are working brilliantly, maybe you should ask me how to use the remote control? With regards of the washing machine and the sink disposal, we taught you how to use it, and you misused it three times. And these are basic appliances, I mean basic... • We re-cleaned the villa in front of you, showing you that it was no evidence of any of your claims, but your wife still insisted that your 3 years old son find out some cleaning default… Gladly he was more talking about his animal toy each time I met him. • You came with a nanny without letting us aware of it. She actually spoke highly about your integrity. (recorded by our cleaner that felt uncomfortable too). • You broke remotes and left with karaoke cable and mic, towels, etc… with great integrity and style. When we have so many proofs on VRBO chat, so many recordings because workers did not feel comfortable, I sincerely and largely prefer my own sense of integrity that your vision of it. Yes, I admit that sometimes we have problems with appliances and equipment or local utilities (it’s an island) but we are pride to maintain our beachfront villas, by the ocean, in a perfect and pristine conditions. We are not perfect. And we love feedback. It helps us to improve our services. But dishonesty is something I have difficulties to handle, and that is why I didn’t want to keep your booking at the first place. To summarize, I don’t regret to have act in a proper way with your family and not have to traumatized your kids. My mission was to make your stay the most pleasant as possible and Chef Ashley confirmed with me that we did it. I wasn't expecting a good review from you, of course but I wasn't expecting you could bring up false claims. I hope i was able to redefine what INTEGRITY and HONESTY is truly representing in the eyes of honest people. I will use it as a lesson to improved quality of our services and be more vigilant in my acceptance of booking, intimately knowing: “there is always one”.
