Beautiful place on Flamingo Beach. We went in October, during our kids' fall break, not realizing it was low season. It was pouring rain when we arrived and I was worried it would rain all week, *but* it was clear the next morning and we had a wonderful time. The weather did not negatively impact our plans. We even went zip-lining in the rain one day. The property is impeccably maintained by the staff, who are always cleaning and tending to the lawn, gardens and pool. The concierge was friendly and welcoming. We spent a day at Diamante, about an hour away, and did the ziplines there, which I would recommend. We also did a half-day waterfall hike at La Leona, which was very fun, and spent another day at Rincon de la Vieja, where we did the zip lines, tubing and hot springs. Awesome activity for our family. Gorgeous national park. Since October is less busy, the pool bar was closed, but you can get drinks at Coco Loco or make them yourselves, like we did. Some of the details in the welcome email from the concierge don't apply this time of year (no welcome cocktail, pastry truck, fresh seafood truck, or activity schedule, as the email mentioned), but it was nice that things were not crowded and we had a wonderful experience. I would definitely return, maybe even in October.
