Not good for large groups
The pros: this is a gorgeous house in a lovely location.
The cons: the house is not great for big groups, and the host is an extremely poor communicator.
The bedroom walls do not reach the ceilings, so no bedroom has any real privacy. If someone so much as coughs, you'll hear it. If your group has someone who snores, or a baby who cries, or even people who like to stay up late talking, you'll have trouble sleeping here.
As a group of 11, we thought we’d have plenty of sleeping space in this house that said it could fit 20 — instead we found just 6 beds, plus 2 lumpy, dusty futons and 2 bare mattresses leaning up against the wall.
There were no sheets or pillowcases for any of these "extra beds," so we tried to contact the host. We got no response for hours (including a phone call to a wrong number), and finally called VRBO support out of desperation. VRBO got the host on the line, who insisted there were sheets in the closet (there weren’t). Once VRBO support hung up, the host called back to say they were embarrassed about their mistake and they were sending someone over to bring us sheets. (As for pillows, they said there were already 13 in the house and we shouldn’t need any more.) By the time someone showed up, it was after 10pm and we were exhausted and extremely frustrated. It was an unfortunate start to our stay, and left us feeling like we’d wasted a night of our trip.
I can't recommend that you stay here if you're in a big group.
