This was an amazing place to stay. I gave a 4 star review on accuracy of listing sarcastically because the listing and pictures don’t do the place justice. I work in the real estate industry in the United States (appraisal work) and am used to seeing pictures of properties that make spaces look larger than they are. In this case the pictures don’t represent how spacious it is. The view at night of the lit up blue cathedral is better in person than any picture we could take until we flew a drone to it. Christian was a great, hospitable host. He was quick to reply to messages and give advice on restaurants and places to go, and where to buy the nice blankets that are on each bed. If I had to nitpick I’d ask for washcloths and Kleenex. That said, the hotels in Quito didn’t provide either. I would stay again and recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Cuenca.

Amazing Host / Beautiful Home / Perfect Location

We stayed at the property for 5 nights and loved it. The city views from the terrace were breath taking. San Sebastian Square is around the corner with excellent places to eat and drink. Short walk to Parque Calderon. The home was beautifully appointed, and Christian was a fantastic host - arranging for a home COVID test prior to our return and getting us a ride to the airport when we left(!). I highly recommend staying here. Thank you for a fantastic stay, Christian.

Great view and space

Communication with the host was excellent. The space is tastefully decorated, well appointed, spotlessly clean, and near tram and bus stops. The space is two levels, with a loft on the upper level that has direct access to the large terrace. The view from the terrace is stunning. The cupalas of the Cathedral are visible in the skyline. The terrace is comfortable with furniture under a glass trellis, so useable even in hot sun or slight rain. The first level has an open plan living space with a sitting area and an electric fireplace with a heater. The space is plenty for three friendly couples (the loft has less privacy, but is private) or a family. It was just the two of us and we stayed in the loft, which was cozy with a warm and comfortable bed. The TV is also located in the loft (we didn’t turn it on). There was an electric space heater for cooler nights. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals. Overall, we would not hesitate to stay in this space again. Cuenca is walkable, so use of the tram or bus is not required, but it was convenient to get to other areas of the city.

Would stay here again

Christian's place is stunning and well located. Unfortunately we were not able to stay due to some COVID issues that came up for our family. But my husband & I who are here in Cuenca went to check in before we knew this. Christian was extremely understanding and accommodating to us as we had to change our plans last minute. His communication was excellent. We will definitely book Christian's place when our family can travel again.

Great VRBO

This property met all our expectations and more. Great location in a safe area and only a few blocks from the main Old District Center and Caulderon Park. Comfortable living with plenty of hot water and a electric heater for the cold mornings. Strong innernet/WIFI. Highly recommend this property and would definitely book again if visiting Cuenca.

Nice space very near the center of the old city of Cuenca.

We are two couples from the USA who spent four nights in this third floor apartment. The apartment was as advertised and we found it to be comfortable and convenient for wandering around Cuenca. Christian was responsive to questions we had in advance and also arranged transportation for us to get down to the coast after our stay here. Two downsides - a few door hinges were really squeaky, making it hard for early risers to avoid waking others. And there was a garage at the bottom of the stairway so sometimes we smelled fumes from vehicles arriving or leaving. Not too bad though. Overall very nice stay.

Location, Location, Location! This Condo is located in the blossoming neighborhood of San Sebastian. It is a safe and quiet neighborhood, but it hosts a variety of restaurants and coffee shops in the beautiful Plaza San Sebastian, which is right next door to the condo. A few minutes walk from the must see Parque Calderon Plaza, with its many museums, restaurants and shops. The Condo is close to everything, but secluded enough where you have restful nights and time to relax when needed.

The rooftop terrace is one of a kind! Truly spectacular views of the city and mountains. You are not going to find something quite like this so close to the historic center! High speed Wifi, a fully equipped kitchen, two separate lounging spaces, and a workspace full of natural light. This is a great stay for families or a group of friends. Look no further, you have found your stay in beautiful Cuenca!
