A great rental property for a vacation. It was very clean and only about 2 blocks from the ocean. The ocean had pretty clear water with white sand not crowded at all on weekdays but very buisy on weekends. Great place.

The back bathroom always had a smell. The outside shower was broke. We fixed it 3 times enough to use a little. There was a broken canopy someone left behind. The house itself was clean and fine. On the most part had a good time.

We enjoyed our stay there, within less than a 5 min walk to the beach is something you can’t complain. At the stay within a quick glance everything looked good until it came down the “cleanness”. Carpet and the floor were not clean. Almost throughout the baseboard and corners were also not clean. Something new to us was the water system throughout the home definitely stood out to us and would have wished to known before could have changed the decision before booking. Communication was great. Family friendly - probably recommend more family board game all they had were checkers. The outdoor shower pipes seemed to be broken as you turn it on. Overall good place just the water system used in the house, you’ll be showering/washing your hands and brushing your teeth with salt water as that is what it felt like.

The location and infrastructure of the property is excellent, as is the communication with the staff. We just really had some problems with the cleaning of the property.

Good location that was just a short walk to the beach. The entire home looked like it recently was renovated and had nice amenities. I would have rated this higher but we had a few issues. 1.) The water has a really strong smell to it. It is not something that I would recommend drinking so I would make sure to bring your own water for drinking and cooking. 2.) We ran one load of laundry in the wash machine and much to our disappointment the clothes that came out had a reddish-brown stain, similar to rust, throughout. There must be a lot of dissolved iron in the water. Several shirts were ruined because of the stains. We would have better not using the laundry machine at all. 3.) The dishwasher was dirty, smelled and had signs of mold. I am not sure if that was the result of the hard water or not being properly cleaned. We ended up washing all dishes by hand during our stay. All in all, we had a fun trip but it sure would have been nice if we didn't ruin several shirts and were able to have better quality water. I am not sure how much of that is in the control of the property owner but at the very least individuals should be warned.

The location great. A funky odor as soon as we came in the front door. Everything seemed clean at first glance. Some glasses, utensils & a mug were dirty in the cupboards. There was debris & a few dead bugs in the drawers. The air freshener plug in the wall, next to the front door was empty. The entryway carpet was smelly & had curling up edges. A tripping hazard. The lights that illuminate the step up on the porch were out on both sides. The door to the closet in the room to the right, as you enter, would not stay closed. A bean bag chair in the closet had a hole and was leaking. In the dresser drawer, there was a pillow case of clean laundry? and some mismatched cards? The baseboards along the shower in the both bathrooms were in very poor condition. The rusted drain cover in the master shower wasn't screwed in. The washing machine had sand on it. The telescope was was inoperable. The ceiling fan light was out in the main living area. The master, right closet door doesn't shut all the way or go back on its track. The screen on the window to the left of the front door was ripped at the bottom and flapped in the wind, making noise. On a positive note, a few of our children and grandchildren came over for a few hours and really enjoyed themselves. No one ended up spending the night w/us, since most of them had to work Monday. The only room that was used was the master bedroom. We enjoyed being able to walk across the street to the beach. The sunset & sunrise were beautiful.

The perfect rental for our stay at Surfside Beach. The Host is very friendly and made sure we were happy and comfortable. The house was super clean and being pet friendly was a plus. It is also the perfect location to the beach and bay, as well as many wonderful restaurants were nearby. There is an upper deck with an amazing view for watching sunsets! Definitely recommend!
